Twin City Championships Match
Shay McClure (c) Vs. Cera & Dathyn
Axel Reid: Yup, you heard right ladies and gentlemen! VoW will be heading overseas on a tour of the UK! Grab a friend or two and come backpacking through Europe with us!
Ruby Parvati: I've already packed. What type of perfume do you think European men prefer?
Axel Reid: ...... while
you're picking up men in all four cities we visit,
I'll be visiting tourist sites and reveling in their culture.
Ruby Parvati: Yes, well, culture shock is sure to happen when we bring
our competitors over there. Especially if it's a specific two people who happen to be in this next match...
Axel Reid: ..... our lawyers will be on standby. But I mean... how bad could it possibly be?
"I wanna f-BLEEP- the world
I'm gonna make it hurt
I'll stand here all alone
I'm gonna watch it burn!"
Axel Reid: ....nevermind.
The beginning piano piece and lyrics to Hollywood Undead’s “Fuck The World” (heavily censored) begin to play throughout the arena. The following two stars receive the ‘blackout treatment’ as the arena goes dark. There is a mix of boos peppered with a surprising amount of cheers. The lights slowly return back to a dim as the music picks up. Jen, Cera and Dathyn all appear from the back, Dathyn with his hood up. Cera slowly turns to Judas and leans into his ear, whispering something while looking at the camera. Dathyn returns with a smile as the Cut-Throat Corps slowly begin to march.
"I was an outcast
I'm heaven's mistake
So now I'm standing at the foot
Of the fiery gates"
Jerry Heisenberg: The following contest is a Handicap Match, and it is for the VOW TWIN CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS! First, the challengers, entering at a combined weight of 345lbs … “THE BADDEST BITCH” CERA and “THE KAKHARD” DATHYN... THE CUTTHROAT CORPS!!!
Axel Reid: Well it’s time to decide the fate of the Twin City Championships, Ruby, and I’m going to be honest with you. I do not like Shay McClure’s chances tonight. In fact, I’ll go as far as to say that this contest is a foregone conclusion.
Ruby Parvati: It’s easy to think that, Axel. Cera and Dathyn are two dangerous individuals on their own. With them working together as a team, you’re going to expect pain and brutality.
Axel Reid: It was over a month ago when Cera and Dathyn revealed their alliance, and now they have their sights set on the Twin City Championships. They even defeated Casanova English and Brett Carson as a team to earn this opportunity, which is no small feat. But if Shay McClure can survive this match, it won’t only be described as shocking. It will be considered an absolute miracle.
Jen seems to be ‘feeling’ the music a bit more than the duo as she saunters down the entrance ramp, flanked by the two multi-time wrestling champions. Dathyn is flipping his coin as Cera gazes like a caged animal towards the ring. Jen turns to Cera and gives her a smile before ‘The Magician’ and ‘The Baddest Bitch’ roll into the ring.
“I just wanna bleach you,
And I just wanna eat you,
And tear your soul out,
Until I -BLEEP-in’ defeat you.”
Upon entering the ring, Dathyn takes the center with Cera behind him. He drops to his knees, stretching his arms in a crucifix position as Cera reaches in front of him with her finger, making a cut-throat gesture on Judas who bites his lower lip, giving the camera a wink. They then straighten and await the start of the match.
Ruby Parvati: That imagery tells you everything you need to know. They’re on the same page, and they share the same desire to win at all costs.
Axel Reid: I suppose Shay’s only solace is if he can somehow frustrate these two enough to get them disqualified, or if he can get one of them counted out. But even if he keeps them separated, you have Jen out there as a wild distraction.
Moments later, “Hammer Time” by MC Hammer begins to play. Shay McClure then walks out, carrying both his and Jermaine Brown’s championships on his shoulders. Despite the odds being heavily stacked against him, Shay still maintains his composure, sauntering down to the ring with a ‘gangster-style’ stroll.
Jerry Heisenberg: And their opponent, entering alone at a weight of 210lbs, he is ONE-HALF of the VOW TWIN CITY CHAMPIONS .. representing THE GANG STARS, SHAY McCLURE!!!
Axel Reid: As of this moment, we have no information on the whereabouts of Jermaine Brown. McClure has not given us any details, which may indicate he knows about as much as we do. With that being said, Shay has no choice but to defend the Twin City Championships by himself against Cera and Dathyn.
Ruby Parvati: This is how karma works, Axel. At Heatstroke, The Gang Stars faced Mattaki Fukushuu by himself when Neptune suffered an injury, and they ended up winning the belts. Now McClure will know how it feels to be all alone against two deadly individuals!
Axel Reid: There is no doubt that Cera and Dathyn have sadistic capabilities, which makes this an unfair situation to be in. But as I said before, if Shay can somehow keep these two at bay, if he can somehow lure them into making a crucial mistake, he could just become the luckiest man alive in Thunder Bay.
Shay raises both belts above his head, staring intently at his two opponents occupying the ring. After a few seconds, Shay drops the belts onto the floor and slides under the ropes, courageously charging towards Dathyn and flying at him with a leaping punch!
Ruby Parvati: Talk about being cautious and smart, Axel!
Axel Reid: Shay isn’t wasting any time here, and there’s the bell! The referee is ordering Cera to get out as Shay and Dathyn go at it, but was this a mistake from one-half of the champions?
Ruby Parvati: It’s foolish, Axel, but his back’s against the wall! He’s trapped between these two, and so he’s going in there to fight with everything he has!
The crowd provide background noise as Shay gets the upper-hand against Dathyn, cornering him with quick punches and knee strikes! Cera watches on from her designated corner, sneering at the apparent idiocy of Shay as he lays into Dathyn with stomps and headbutts. Ending his barrage, Shay backs up and charges at Dathyn again, but Dathyn smartly goes to the ground and scissors Shay’s leg, dropping him face first onto the bottom turnbuckle!
Axel Reid: And just like that, Dathyn puts a stop to Shay’s onslaught. Unfortunately, this could be the last time we see Shay get any offence in.
Ruby Parvati: Well, at least he got some shots in for a few seconds.
Performing a Snapmare on Shay, Dathyn keeps his opponent subdued with elbow strikes to his chest and head. Shay attempts to swing at Dathyn, but the Armenian is too focused, quickly avoiding each strike and giving Shay one of his own. Finally, Dathyn gets tired of the exchange and knees Shay in the back of the head, causing the Bad Guy to coil up into a defensive position. Dathyn exhibits a wicked smirk as the crowd boo loudly, completely enthused by the sense of control he has over Shay at this point.
Ruby Parvati: Would it be rude to say this match could end at any time now?
Axel Reid: With these odds, Ruby, it’s hard to argue with your statement.
Dathyn grabs Shay and executes a standard Snap Suplex, setting him up for Cera as the latter is tagged in. Dathyn simply aims a finger at the target, knowing full well what Cera is capable of.
Axel Reid: And here comes Cera, but look at her eyes.
Cera stalks Shay like an untamed animal, unblinking as the lone half of the Gang Stars pushes himself up. Her unnerving expression does not change as she boots Shay in the side of the head, keeping her opponent grounded. The boos continue as Cera walks around Shay, methodically attacking his arm with a hard kick to the shoulder joint. With Shay feeling his arm, this leaves another part of his body exposed, a sight Cera capitalizes on with a well placed kick to the ribs.
Ruby Parvati: Look at the way Cera is damaging Shay here. Every attack he takes he’s revealing another spot for her to weaken.
Axel Reid: She is a smart, calculating woman, despite her known psychological issues.
It becomes apparent that Cera is merely toying with Shay, even though her kicks are hard and precise. After laying in another boot, Cera stands on Shay’s throat, visibly yawning how easy this seems. Shay struggles to breathe as he grasps her leather boot, attempting to break free as Cera looks down at him venomously. All of a sudden, Shay twists Cera’s ankle away from his throat, keeping her foot in his hands as he returns to a vertical base. Only then does Cera leap up and snap his head to the side with an Enziguri, causing Shay to fall back down after seemingly gaining control.
Axel Reid: Shay thought he had Cera debilitated then, but clearly she was giving him some false hope before kicking it away.
Ruby Parvati: She seems to be in two states of mind, Axel, one that wants to toy with Shay, and the other that wants to rip him apart.
Giving Shay time to recover, Cera waits for him to stand back up. Feeling his head, Shay gets back up in due course, only to receive a spinning kick to the abdomen for his trouble. Winded from the strike, Shay leans over and gasps, giving Cera the opportunity to grab his head and safely execute a snapping Neckbreaker!
Axel Reid: Cera with a Neckbreaker on Shay, and she’s going for a cover!
Lying across Shay’s prone body, Cera hooks his near leg for leverage…
ONE!
TWO!
But no, Shay gets his far shoulder up. Disgusted by his tenacity, Cera jumps up and drops a knee across Shay’s throat, incapacitating him long enough to tag Dathyn back in.
Ruby Parvati: This appears to be their strategy. Keep Shay down so he can’t interrupt any potential tags.
Quickly exploiting Cera’s handiwork, Dathyn hooks Shay in a Sleeper Hold. The crowd boo as Dathyn licks his lips, maliciously leading to a harsh twist of Shay’s neck that puts the Sleeper in deeper.
Axel Reid: By torquing Shay’s neck there, Dathyn is hastening the speed at which Shay passes out. The referee is checking for a choke, but Dathyn doesn’t have one.
Ruby Parvati: And why would he? If he gets caught cheating their chance at the titles will be lost.
Some fans clap for Shay to withstand the pressure, while everyone else boos or shouts random slurs. Dathyn looks around at the audience, chuckling unto himself at their feeble attempt to help Shay out of this predicament. Unfortunately for him, Shay does begin to fight through, elbowing the Magician in the side of the head in order to stun him. Dathyn tries to sink the Sleeper in deeper, but Shay nails another elbow, giving him time to stand back up and resume the match from a vertical base.
Axel Reid: Shay has returned to his feet, and there’s a third elbow from the champion! Dathyn is trying to hold on here… but there’s a fourth elbow! Dathyn has released the hold, and Shay seems to be running on adrenaline!
With a scream of fury, Shay runs at Dathyn and floors him with an impact Clothesline! Few fans cheer him on as he bounces off the ropes, sending Dathyn down again with a Shoulder Tackle! Jen does not look the least bit concerned on the outside though, watching almost stoically as Dathyn is powered up by Shay and driven back down with a Spinebuster!
Ruby Parvati: Why does he believe he has a chance?!
Axel Reid: Because he DOES have one, and that’s right now!
Shay covers Dathyn with both legs hooked…
ONE!
TW-- Dathyn turns and gets his shoulder off the canvas, resulting in further boos. Shay shakes his head in disbelief, but he knows what he must do to survive. He stands Dathyn back up and whips him into the corner, keeping his distance before he runs and slams into the Armenian with a body press. Having been crushed from the velocity, Dathyn folds his body up as he staggers away, hardly paying attention to Shay as he runs at the ropes again. But before Shay can attack, Dathyn catches the Bad Guy with a fast Roundhouse Kick, putting an abrupt halt to Shay’s momentum!
Axel Reid: And control goes back to the Cutthroat Corps, but Shay has inflicted some noticeable damage on Dathyn!
Visibly annoyed, Dathyn lands several stomps on Shay’s body and head, letting out his frustration before he pulls him towards his corner and tags Cera back in. The Baddest Bitch climbs the ropes as her partner keeps Shay held, making sure he doesn’t move as Cera jumps off the top and lands on Shay with a Leg Drop!
Axel Reid: Cera springs right back into the action with a high leg drop, and there’s another cover!
Cera has Shay covered…
ONE!
TWO!
No, Shay once again kicks out.
Ruby Parvati: Does he realize the more he kicks out the more punishment he takes? He should accept defeat and save himself a hospital visit.
Axel Reid: Would you consider that a fighting champion?
Ruby Parvati: He would be a smart one…
Bringing Shay back to his feet, Cera issues some knife-edge chops and kicks, wearing down Shay’s body. The pair end up in the corner whereby Cera lays in some more kicks, but as she stops to think about her next move, Shay amazingly kicks out at Cera, landing an attack on her torso! Strangely, The Baddest Bitch chuckles, prompting a worn-down Shay to grab her by her the neck and throw her into the corner. Cera’s back hits the turnbuckles, but after she is kneed in the stomach by Shay, her previous chuckling pales in comparison the hysterical laughter that follows.
Axel Reid: What … in the world? Shay is getting the upper-hand on Cera, but it’s as if she’s … enjoying it…
To the weary confusion of Shay, Cera tells him to do it again. For some reason he obeys her request, laying in another hard knee that causes further hysterics. Cera looks at him with wild eyes, this time screaming for him to do it again. Shay looks dumbfounded, but in his weakened state he backs up, driving all of his weight into Cera with a shoulder tackle!
Axel Reid: I … don’t understand this. What’s going on?
Ruby Parvati: Either she’s manipulating his emotions, Axel, or she’s gone and lost the plot.
Growling at her perverse enjoyment, Shay pulls Cera away from the corner and lifts her up into a Pumphandle Drop! Shay then covers Cera, believing that will do it…
ONE!
TWO!
Cera kicks out, her laughter thinning into sighs. Not as puzzled as he was before, Shay lifts Cera up again and whips her to the ropes. He ducks down for a back body drop but Cera kicks his face towards the sky, rocking him momentarily before she sends his eyes spinning with a brutal Roundhouse Kick!
Axel Reid: That was one of the hardest kicks I’ve ever witnessed, and Shay’s face says it all. His eyes are distant, Ruby!
Ruby Parvati: He’s probably in dream land right now, wishing Jermaine Brown was here to save his ass.
Meanwhile Cera tags Dathyn back in, residing in the corner as her partner delivers an elbow drop across the back of Shay’s neck! This time he rolls Shay up for a cover…
ONE!
TWO!
THR-- NO!
Axel Reid: No, I think Shay just kicked out! He must still have the wherewithal to know what’s happening!
Agitated, Dathyn slaps Shay across the face, slowly bringing him to his feet and talking to him calmly, yet sternly. Dathyn tells him it’s all over and issues another slap, setting Shay up for his near defeat. But before Dathyn can strike him however, Shay turns the tables with a well-placed Uppercut! Dathyn collapses to the canvas as Shay faints onto the middle rope, but the Magician soon begins to crawl towards Cera, reaching for a tag that he just received a few moments ago!
Axel Reid: What an Uppercut that was! Shay is showing great desire to fight this battle until the end, even if he’s on the losing end of it!
Ruby Parvati: And Dathyn makes a tag to Cera. When it comes to recovery time, they certainly have the advantage.
Exhausted, Shay tumbles through the ropes and lands on his front outside the ring, lying face down as the fans at ringside laugh. Cera studies him from afar, not exactly wanting to go after him just yet. With adrenaline rushing through his veins, Shay pushes himself up with all the energy he has left, and as the referee and Cera watch over him, Shay staggers to his feet … AND MAKES A LEAPING TAG TO A FAN AT RINGSIDE!
Axel Reid: What is he doing?!
Ruby Parvati: I’ve never seen anyone do that before.
Shay signals to the fan to get in the ring, all while the fans around him cheer. But as the plump, jovial man begins to clamber over the barricade, he is prevented from doing so by two security guards and the vigilant referee.
Ruby Parvati: He’s delirious, Axel. He believes he has a tag team partner after all!
As Cera furrows her eyebrows in confusion, Shay weakly protests with the stubborn referee, telling him he made a clean tag. The referee tells him the fan is not a wrestler and is not Shay’s tag team partner, resulting in Shay slamming his hands to the floor in frustration.
Ruby Parvati: I have to admit, watching this mental breakdown is rather amusing.
Axel Reid: But this proves just how much Shay needs to rest up and buy some time. He just can’t cope against two people at once.
Finally getting back to his feet, Shay pushes the referee angrily, prompting a stern warning from the official. Shaking his head, Shay stumbles towards the ring, only to receive a sliding dropkick by Cera that sends him into the barricade’s metal boarding!
Ruby Parvati: That had to hurt.
The fans behind the barricade taunt Cera as she rolls outside the ring. She stands over Shay with a vicious look in her eyes, all while the referee orders them to get back in the ring. Instead of following orders, Cera grabs Shay by the hands and pulls him forward, only to place her foot against his face and curb stomp his head backwards into the boarding!
Ruby Parvati: Okay, that definitely hurt worse.
Axel Reid: No wonder he’s making irrational decisions. His brain is being knocked around his skull!
The referee is at his wits end, yelling at Cera to get back in the ring. Rolling her eyes, the Baddest Bitch grabs Shay by the hands again, but this time she pulls with all of her strength, managing to get Shay off the ground. She then forces him ribs-first into the hard apron before lifting him onto the same apron, rolling him into the ring and climbing back in herself.
Axel Reid: And this match resumes in the ring, although I wouldn’t call it a match right now. I’d call it a torture scene.
Staying focused on the task at hand, Cera brings Shay to his knees before initiating the Know Your Place, a series of back-handed slaps that ends with a violent knee strike to the nose! Shay crumples to the mat, seemingly devoid of consciousness as Cera studies her handiwork.
Ruby Parvati: That has to be it now. We have new Twin City Champions.
Cera covers Shay, hardly looking excited at the prospect of being crowned a champion in this fashion…
ONE!
TWO!
THR-- NO! SHAY GETS HIS SHOULDER UP AGAIN!
Ruby Parvati: Are you kidding me?
Before Cera can do anything else, Dathyn yells at her to tag him in, clearly infuriated by Shay’s persistence. Cera looks back-and-forth before she approaches Dathyn, telling him that she can finish him easily. Dathyn tells her to let him finish Shay off, and after some deliberation amongst the two, Cera tags her partner in.
Axel Reid: Looks like Dathyn wants to put Shay down and out, once and for all.
Marching towards Shay, the Kakhard brings The Bad Guy to his feet. He delivers a throat thrust to the champion, but surprisingly Shay counters with a snap jab! Dathyn looks appalled, giving Shay another throat thrust that returns yet another jab! Even with the lights dimmed, so to speak, Shay still has the impulse to fight on, driving Dathyn mad as the Magician runs at the ropes. From the rebound he flies at Shay, but The Bad Guy gets a boot up in time, rendering Dathyn’s attack mute!
Axel Reid: Can you believe this, Ruby? Shay still has life left in him!
Cera is unsure what to think, watching on as Shay grabs Dathyn and throws him to the canvas with a BELLY-TO-BELLY! Some of the crowd pop as Shay falls onto Dathyn, registering some kind of cover as the referee counts…
ONE!
TWO!
Dathyn manages to kick out before the count of three! As if operating on instinct alone, Shay battles through his injuries and brings Dathyn back up, this time giving him a shaky Powerbomb!
Axel Reid: There’s a Powerbomb!
Ruby Parvati: But here comes Cera!
Entering the ring, Cera rushes at Shay, but somehow The Bad Guy notices her in time and kicks her in the stomach! Cera feels her abdomen before Shay raises her up for another Powerbomb, causing more fans in the arena to cheer!
Axel Reid: Now it appears to be Cera’s turn!
However, before Shay can pull the trigger, Cera reverses the bomb into a Cut Throat Hurricanrana, swinging Shay throat-first onto the top rope! Clutching his damaged throat and stumbling backwards, Shay unknowingly moves into Dathyn’s recovered path, a man who grabs Shay’s arms, rotates him around and plants him face-first onto the mat with The Lazarus Bullet! Cera leaves the ring after this, watching Dathyn finish the job from the outside.
Ruby Parvati: What a combination of moves from Cera and Dathyn! Shay looks completely out!
To make sure of their impending victory, Dathyn bends Shay backwards from his knees, trapping him in The Dove Pan at a wicked angle! The Dragon Sleeper arches Shay like a pretzel, causing him to spasm from the agony. Unable to take any more punishment, Shay swings his right arm against Dathyn’s thigh wildly, surrendering unto Dathyn’s Sleeper and ending the match!
DING DING DING!!!
Axel Reid: It’s over, Ruby! Shay could not survive that Dragon Sleeper!
The referee calls for the bell as Dathyn releases the crippling hold, and once it rings the fans boo loudly. “Fuck The World” then plays once again, making it clear to any doubters that they have just witnessed the crowning of the new Twin City Champions.
Jerry Heisenberg: Here are your winners by Submission, and the NEEEWWWW VOW TWIN CITY CHAMPIONS… DATHYN AND CERA, THE CUTTHROAT CORPS!!!
Axel Reid: Shay McClure fought with everything he had tonight, but it was not enough to subdue his opponents, the new Twin City Champions of VOW.
Ruby Parvati: You sound so solemn, Axel. You knew this was going to happen.
Axel Reid: I’m actually wondering if Shay is okay mentally. His head was punished so many times tonight he could have sustained a concussion.
Ruby Parvati: Well you can worry about Shay all you want. Right now I’m watching Cera and Dathyn leave with those titles.
The victorious pair, championships now in hand, walk together towards the backstage area. Dathyn can’t help but show off his newly-acquired gold to the crowd, but Cera appears to be numb, simply resting the belt on her shoulder with a nonchalant look. Meanwhile Jen skips behind them, giddy that Cera has once again got a belt to wear.
Axel Reid: The question now is, who can stop those two?
Ruby Parvati: I have no idea, but I wouldn’t want to be any other team right now.
Without turning around and celebrating on the stage, Cera and Dathyn continue walking, heading behind the curtain and into the backstage area. As their music fades out, Shay finally begins to sit up in the ring, dazed and agonized from the beating he has suffered. He glares around at the fans in attendance, unable to say or mouth anything at this point. After a while, Shay rolls outside the ring and slowly walks to the back, looking angry at his loss...
