Bio
Jennifer "Zelda" Lawson grew up as a not-so-normal girl. Unlike most that wanted to be all pretty, play with dolls, and do other girly things, Zelda liked to be a person who got dirty, played video games, and just be a bit of a nerdy-punk. Her actual love for video games are what earned her the nickname Zelda, due to her obsession with the Legend of Zelda series and anything related to it, which has become almost like an alternate first name. As time went on Zelda also grew a passion for broadcasting, but with a lack of funds to go to college Zelda decided to travel to Los Angeles once she left high school and try her hand at acting, which although a small passion was still a passion none the less.
This time in LA ended up sending her in a direction where she got to combine both her passions together, however, when she was hired on by the wrestling company KAPOW as a head interviewer. Despite the company's child-like trolling theme of shows, Zelda brought forth a great amount of remember-able interviews with the company and this even led her to earning some experience at the broadcasting table when the play-by-play commentator experienced an off the job injury and was placed on leave, forcing KAPOW to place her at the commentator position until his return.
Eventually down the line, Zelda, now returned to interviewing duties, met a new up and comer in the company by the name of Tyler Storm. During his run to the KABLAM title, Zelda often interviewed Storm and their on screen chemistry led them to begin a relationship on screen. As time went on the two became closer and closer, and after about a year and a half of dating the couple got engaged and married, which they still continue to be to this day as happy as they were with each other the day they met.
After the marriage to Storm, KAPOW immediately shut down due to decrease in ticket sales and Zelda was out of a job, however thanks to her husband she became signed on with him as a manager and she began standing ringside by her husband. However Zelda long missed her duties as a broadcaster, and wondered if she would ever be given a legitimate chance again to realize her dream. Luckily enough, she did. Following a couple of months into her husband's employment with VoW, Lawson received a call from the VoW staff. By recommendation of Nitro News anchor Joey Nitro, who found old clips of Zelda's work in KAPOW, the company asked Zelda to join onto the Nitro News program as a co-anchor and become involved in delivering news to the VoW community. The Nitro/Lawson Report became a big success until an unexpected leave from Nitro left Zelda to pursue new things. With some time off and planning, during which Zelda found out about her pregnancy of a baby girl with Tyler, Zelda announced she would be returning to news duties with the debut of The Vision with Zelda Lawson.
