...but they'll be rewarded by getting all the offence in and looking like monsters...which makes up for it...

Match writing is a touchy subject. Most people really don't like to do it for their own reasons, with mine being that I worry about disappointing the handlers whose wrestlers I'm writing for. There's only been a few characters that I've been able to write flawlessly in the past with whom I've never worried about the outcome being enjoyed.

It's also a time thing on my end though I'm working to change that. It still bears repeating: don't take a match if you can't get it in on time. And if that's going to happen over and over again, maybe it's time that we started having consequences for matches not getting turned in when specified. We take people off shows for no-showing, after all. This is in the same vein. They're making everyone else wait to see results, which also forces us to extend deadlines and move up other shows, thereby making it harder to keep storylines, tweets, etc. in a proper order and time frame. We can't have that. As for what I'd suggest, keep it in the same vein as no-shows: one card without a match and so on.
But what to do if a match isn't in on time? Post a short summary of the match in the form of a recap done by Axel and Ruby. If the match is put in later, great. Replace it. If not, at least you have enough of an idea of what happened so that the handlers can work with it. If a segment isn't turned in on time...commercials, commercials, commercials. Unless the segment is of great importance, the show can do without it. It can be posted later as news, something that 'happened during the break' or 'after we went off the air'. Again, it's on the people who signed up but didn't produce. We can't be beholden to people who don't plan ahead.
Now, that probably sounds mean and deserving of some backlash, but we're adults here for the most part. Hand-holding goes out the window when your procrastination is precluding the enjoyment of your fellows, all of whom worked hard to partake of said enjoyment. We all know how to manage our time, I'm sure. Time to put that to use.

Okay, so I was never given a deadline by which to respond, so I didn't know when to show up. Now seems as good of a time as any, I suppose.
I think most long-time e-fedders have a fed they think of as their "home". Most everyone who has known me for more than a month will know what fed that was for me. It's the fed most people think of the PJ character as being most tightly tied to due to joining during a tumultuous time for that fed and staying there until the doors were shut. Interestingly, my stay there was right around 2 years. That means PJ has been in VoW just as long as he was there with only one absence of more than a show or two in a row. There is a reason for me being here continuously for so long, and it will surprise no one that it has nothing to do with wins, losses, or even just reading results. It is the community. There are old faces that I followed from my previous home to another fed like Seth Iser and Matt Slater. More faces became friendly in my previous stop-over fed like Vanessa, Owen, Steve, Ryan, Ty, and others. I was not in the very first discussions about VoW splintering from that previous fed, but I was here Day 1 when the doors finally opened. It is not some accomplishment or accolade for me, but it is special to have watched this fed grow, not because of me (and probably in spite of me) but just as having somewhere I like spending time growing. That success is due to every single member buying into the founding message for VoW, even if the fed is not EXACTLY the same as envisioned when the Moonsault Insult occurred.
So what the hell, PJ? Where are you going with this rambling? It's simple, really. I, and my character, may forever be linked and see another fed as my original home, but I've found a new one. TEW (look, the letters were going to come out EVENTUALLY) is like my childhood home. It will forever have a place in my heart, but right now, I love living here in VoW. Unfortunately, there are no plans to pack up my bags even if the RPs often seem like I'm just packing it in. And since I've brought it up, yes, I'm aware that my RPs are not the standard that anyone expects from me, including myself. Things had been moving forward slowly until schedules went nutso for work and VoW with DL being on a Tuesday, but that's unimportant in the long run. My other contributions have suffered, namely in the community. Some of you are probably glad not to see me making my smartass and cynical comments in Skype. If that's you, I hope you enjoyed my absence because I'll be around more now that my second job helping coach a high school soccer team is over (mercifully). The new-found extra time also means I need to reiterate what I have said before: if staff or any member needs ANYTHING, just hit me up on Skype or PM me on here. Skype messages will get a response MUCH sooner than a PM though. It may not be obvious by the writing I have put out in the last who knows how long, but I do know a thing or two about this little hobby of ours and want to be of use.
Like Seth, I'm not getting into the whole gushy love-fest of calling out my besties and talking about whether Slater or Timmy (that's Reya/Frankie) is cuter. The point is that collectively this thing works...mostly. The flies do find their way into the ointment once in a while. Hell, I've been known to put them there. At the end of the day, VoW is still running strong though, so we're all doing SOMETHING right (even if what we're doing "right" is a hobby frowned upon by most of society). Personally, I want to see more of these SOV just to see V get all riled up. She's so cute when she is feeling feisty. And that seems like as "PJ" of a note as I can end this on...so I will.
