Resurgence

"When this ultimate crisis comes... when there is no way out - that is the very moment when we explode from within and the totally other emerges: the sudden surfacing of a strength, a security of unknown origin, welling up from beyond reason, rational expectation, and hope." - Émile Durkheim

"Will this nightmare ever stop? Why can't people understand the magnitude of violence that awaits them? Have they really entered a win lose situation?" are the questions running through Dustin's mind has he stands on the balcony of his hotel room. He has been in Windsor, Ontario for the last few days. He did some sight seeing and visited the local gym. However today was going to be different has he was asked to be part of a radio interview. He hasn't done an interview on the radio in a long time. It was just out of the blue but he knew it would be a good way to get people to understand why he is who he is. Then again, no one really gives a flying fuck.
"What are you doing out here?" asks a voice as Dustin turns his head to look behind him. A slight smirk crosses his lips as the reflection of his wife appears in his eyes. She was wearing a peach colored top with white denim shorts.
"I was just doing some thinking. How was your day in Canada?" he asks her while turning to face her.
"It was alright. I much rather be in the states where we can live in our own home. I'm so tired of staying in hotels," answers Jenifer as Dustin nods his head in agreeance. There was no secret that Jenifer hated the cold weather. She did venture out for a little bit while going to see her sister in law. Dustin hasn't seen his baby sister Felicity since his father locked him away. Jenifer didn't know about her either until she finally reached out to Dustin's ruthless father. "How is my sister?" he asks while moving back inside his hotel room.
Jenifer bit her lip as she followed her husband back inside. "Can we just enjoy our time together and see if room service will bring up the right bottle of champagne this time," Jenifer's answer was so vague that it catches the ire of her husband. "What are you not telling me Jenifer?" asks Dustin while turning on a dime to face his wife. The question lingered in the air for a minute as Jenifer searched her brain for the perfect answer. She didn't want to lie to him because that would do no good. She also didn't want to tell him about running into her father in law while on the way back. Due to the history between Dustin and his father, she knew that would be adding fuel to the fire. "Honey....can we..just...," she vaguely answers again while trying to throw her arms around his neck.
The choppiness of her words were enough for Dustin to grab her by the arms and look deeply into her eyes. There is one thing Dustin was good at and it was reading someone's mind by the way their eyes were positioned in their head. "You are definitely hiding something. Now spill it or you'll find yourself sleeping on the couch," demands Dustin as he leans back up while crossing his arms in front of him. "Alright, alright....your father is in town and Felicity is really scared. She told me he has been stalking her for months. He wants to bring her into the business but she wants to do other things. She wants to see you but knows it could be a trap," responds Jenifer as Dustin turns away from his wife. Contempt and rage was begin to build up inside him as she slowly walks up behind him. "Why were you trying to hide this from me?" he asks while slowly clinching his hands into tight fists.
"I wanted to tell you but I knew you needed to focus on your match for Nothing Else Matters," she answers while placing her hand onto his shoulder. Dustin slowly pulls away from her while stepping back towards the balcony.

The image of his father floods his mind while staring out of the glass window. The thought of his perverted father trying to bully his little sister into a business she wants no part of really pisses him off. That is the beauty of being Dustin. He can turn everything he feeling and put it into action. The only problem is three people are charged to stop him. However two of the three are completely inept when it comes to dealing with the Lunatic. The other person got beat so badly that even his brain is hardly working.
"Experts have warned people for poking a sleeping bear with a giant stick. It has been proven once that bear is woken from his slumber than hell will be unleashed. Now I don't know how accurate those reports are but we are going to find out. Now I know what you are thinking, how can I be so confident after last week's despicable performance by yours truly. Truth is, I shouldn't be confident. I should be wallowing in self pity and dosing my misery with a big bottle of Jack Daniels. However that just isn't going to happen. Because I am in no way going to let last week effect my in ring abilities for this week. Everyone is looking to see The Lunatic to bounce back with my second appearance at a pay per view. Grant it this appearance is another pre show match but it just means I have the opporunity to make everyone step up their game. That is what I do best. I create moments for those to try and out do me.
I am sure everyone is already picking winners for this match but let's be honest. Everyone's predictions will fall by the damn wayside after I do what I did against Jamo. Speaking of Jamo, we are slated to meet again at Nothing Else Matters but this time we have two more dance partners. It's got to be incredibly difficult to be you on a daily basis Jamo. First you fail at being some resurrected grim reaper only to be just another Halloween freak show with a lame costume. I mean, you were so convinced that you were going to whip my ass in our street fight but what happened. Oh that's right, I beat you the point of no return. Now you are running that mouth and gibberish is the only shit coming out of it. Maybe this time around, I can actual jog some reality into your fantasy. Then again you would need to know what reality is in order for me to bring you back to it."
Dustin takes a moment to catch his breath while walking through the opened sliding glass door. He steps out onto the balcony.
"No one truly understands my pain when it comes to my own father. My own flesh and blood. Maybe it stems back when I was a small child living in San Diego, California. My father had me locked away in some mental facility because he saw the devil inside of me. I didn't believe him at first because I was just a kid. However as I got older, that devil manifested himself into who you see today. The contempt that resonates inside my heart will soon come flooding out like a waterfall. The image of my father will cover the face of Bama Brooks like a damn mask. Trust me Bama, I'm going to enjoy every single fist that collides with your sternum. Seeing that we both can take a beating, I am going to enjoy beating you to a bloody pulp and watching your eyes roll to the back of your head. I never said I will show remorse in this match. Remorse has no resignation in my mind and when it comes to proving myself. I will show no mercy. It's nothing personal Bama. It's just my way of teaching the unwashed masses what it means to be a real lunatic. I don't care what others have to say because in the end. I am doing this for my benefit not theirs."
Dustin places his hand on the railing and looks down at the people walking along the sidewalk.
"Marcellus King, the man who has the biggest mouth in the world. Tell me, what makes you any different? You proclaim at the top of your lungs about one match. That is awesome. You win one match and you are on cloud 9. Is that what you are King? A one match warrior. You had one match and you think the world owes you something. Ever since you joined this company, you have hounded me on twitter like some pathetic bee. You buzz around my head trying to get me to bite but found out that I'm not as easy to crack. That is the difference between you and I. You thrive on seeing someone break because it makes you a big man. However you didn't break me. When you have wrestled as long as I have, you learn a few tricks. Like how to play mind games with the best of them. I knew that was your game and I played along. I strung you along. I made you think that you had me but turned out I was just playing you. Did you really think I would unleash my harsh personality on this roster? The rage is about to get overturned and you are the target. I don't give a damn what you did in your past life. I'm not a therapist. I am just a man who loves beating people and making them my own personal bitch. That's what you assholes have to contend with at Nothing Else Matters.
I am not afraid of losing because wins and losses mean nothing. In the end it's about how many bodies are left in your wake. It's about the amount of blood you are willing to shed in order to survive. It's about the buckets of tears you are willing to cry for what you deserve is yours. It's about the sweat that beads down your face as you are working your ass off. That's what this match is all about. It's not about who can get the quickest win and walk out without a scratch. It's about who is willing to go that extra mile to survive. It's about going to that place no one wants you to go because it means absolute carnage. I don't know about you assholes but I am willing to do whatever it takes to survive."
Dustin grips the railing tightly with his hands while narrowing his eyes out over the horizon.
Step Three is about to be initiated and there is nothing you boys can do to stop it. Katie Moicelle, I will see you again in that ring and I will make sure that lightning doesn't strike a third time in the same place. Until then, I will be sending all three dickwalds into a CATASTROPHIC MELTDOWN.
Dustin lets out a harsh laughter while remaining on the balcony. The scene slowly begins to fade as Jenifer joins him.
