Things were calm inside of the residence of Katalina Star and Zahara Matisse, dinner was splendid and the two had sent Holly and Ariel out on an excavation to be led by Makayla in search of the elusive desert that had been placed aside from the toddler. Given the size of the home they were definitely going to be a bit as Kat and Zoey stood side by side over the dual sinks doing up the dishes. Not entirely exciting, but not everything in a couple’s life needs to be.
Zahara: So I looked into a few preschools,
Kat lets out a troubled sigh when she hears that flicking out a few soap suds from a cup before running it through the rinse and passing it along to Zoey.
Katalina: Do you really think she's ready?
Zoey only smiles when she hears this as she runs the cloth down along the inside of the cup prior to placing it up on the shelf. She then reaches out resting a hand on Kat's arm.
Zahara: Mama bird has to let her baby fly from the nest at some point. She’s at just the age where having some interaction with other children and starting the learning process would be optimized.
Katalina: I know, but...couldn't we wait another year?
The dominatrix whimpers back as Zoey sighs taking the next cup from Kat's grasp.
Zahara: You know she's been wanting to meet friends too, sweetling. Friends her own age. She sees so few these days due to distance...
She quickly interjects knowing exactly what Kat's next argument was going to be. Really though, Zahara knows that Makayla is Kat's daughter and ultimately the decision is left to her. However, she knows that Kat isn't going to be arguing with herself over the right side of this so it's why she makes herself so vocal here. Even Kat now agrees that it's beginning to get to that time as she slowly nods her head and sighs.
Katalina: I'm just worried how things will be when she needs to stand up and explain what it is mommy does for a living.
Kat falls silent as she slips in a plate to wash while Zoey stares back at her a little blankly having not expected this but in time finds it rather endearing as she accepts the plate and begins to dry it.
Zahara: Mommy helps make certain that everyone has fun and anyone who isn't she helps along the way.
Zoey shoots Kat a smile as it's the domina's turn to fall still a few moments then laughs a little.
Katalina: That came rather quickly.
Zahara: It was my backup in case I lost the nerve to just tell my parents I'm dating a dominatrix.
Kat nods in agreement having finished washing she pulls out the plugs.
Katalina: Still, it's not as good a description as you would get. Mama is magical.
Zahara: Because she is.
She quickly agrees shooting her lover a playful smirk who stammers out a few attempts at a comeback. Unfortunately, all that come out are indeed the stammers as she takes the clothe and begins cleaning off the counters.
Katalina: You could at least try and become humble there.
Zahara: Why? I'm not going to argue with our daughter.
Zoey laughs out a little as she places the plate away while Kat shakes her head and starts to wipe down the dinner table. Or at least she was well on her way to when she notices Candi standing in the doorway. Startled, Kat steps back a little feeling her heart skip a beat seeing her “lion” looking...well, more like a doll than ever.
Katalina: C-Candi?
Candi: Kitty Mistress, I did it!
Katalina: Did what?
Candi: I talked with Joey Jo-Jo Jo-Jo about her match with Magical Mistress,
Kat's eyes shoot wide as she quickly looks back at Zoey and then to Candi doing her best to try and silence her before anymore could be said. Unfortunately, Candi only continues and imitates Kat by placing a finger to her lips.
Candi: And she was all like--
Katalina: Candi, quiet! Go...go play.
Candi: Yay! Playing!
Her mind now fully distracted, Candi turns and runs off to play as Kat stands, her back toward Zahara too afraid to face her fully. She was worried but didn't want it getting out to her lover just how worried she was about how things would go in this triple threat match. After all, Kat had enough of her own match to worry about so for Zoey to hear of Kat going in behind her back to potentially see just where Joanna's mindset was...
Zahara: Katalina…
Oh, good grief… her formal name. It wasn’t a good sign with a parent, so how could it be with a significant other? Kat tensed again, but seemed to relax slightly when Zahara set the cloth aside and put her hands upon her lover’s shoulders.
Zahara: ...are you worrying too much again?
Katalina: Maybe?
Zahara: Do I need to help you forget the silly idea that I’m in trouble?
Just like that the tension was back, but in a different form. Kat gnawed on her lip a little as Zahara stepped in further and moved her arms to slide around the domina’s waist. She visibly leans back against the magician, who smiles faintly and nuzzles her cheek against Kat’s.
Zahara: I’ll take that as a yes, sweetling. Lean forward and place your palms on the table.
Nothing about Zahara’s tone had changed, yet Kat moved as instructed as though the order triggered a hard-wired response. Picking up her cloth on the way back to the sink, Zahara twisted it tight and dipped it into some of the remaining water there.
Zahara: I think… fifteen will suffice?
From the comforts of home to the pleasures of the office, Katalina Star resides inside what has been aptly dubbed; the Dungeon. Several acres of warehouse goodness with session rooms and living quarters inside. From the auditorium to Kat's office, from the three story hamster cage to the soon to be opening “Triforce Pools”, the Dungeon has certainly taken off since first being renovated a few years ago. Now, the dominatrix stands shortly after a session decked out in the usual attire. Tall leather boots with metallic stiletto heels, a black form fitting latex catsuit, velvety soft gloves of a darker persuasion, and enough make up to highlight her prominent cheekbones and controlling gaze. In the right hand of Kat is a long stemmed riding crop with a fitted leather head, which she rests down with a smile.
Katalina: There comes a time in everyone's life where they ask themselves; do I want to live forever?
It's a question that certainly finds its way around as the domina takes a seat up along the edge of her desk bracing herself up with an arm while the other lounges down across her lap.
Katalina: Winter, Mathew, what can I say? Quite frankly there hasn't been much left to say since our first little altercation, an altercation in which Winter, you attempted to belittle the dominatrix. As you witnessed then and as you will any time from now, that's not exactly an easy accomplishment to make outside of my social circle.
Yeah, that should really come with a little marker these days.
Katalina: Now, you proclaim that what you have is the truth on your side. That it's your code to not lie, okay. That's certainly fine. But let's assume that every insult you sent my way was indeed true, where does that inscribe things for us now? It does nothing and this is the problem of trash talking. You see, the world has already passed its judgment on me and there isn't anything I can do where I can change that. Isn't that right, Constance?
The domina shoots a little smirk toward the camera before continuing on.
Katalina: But you, Winter, as I mentioned before to you it's not surprising you would try and hide yourself in behind these facades. After all, defeating Stacy wasn't really a personal effort. Do you know how many there are that can swing weapons about? There's your truth right there, Winter. For every word you utter about your own dominance, a handicap is required. But,
Kat laughs out some as she pinches hold of the riding crop bringing it up some.
Katalina: I suppose who am I to talk? Right? But...
With a shrug, she rests the crop back down on the table pushing it gently toward the centre with her fingertips.
Katalina: I could actually go on in great detail about the differences in our style, how mine is a psychological control that has seen many down to their knees and you could barely get a whimper out of my pet, Candi. But that would just be boring, wouldn't it?
She hums out a short laugh and braces both her arms back in behind her as her head tilts to the other side.
Katalina: And then there's you, Mathew. A man whose clever linguistic abilities has me thinking Candi a savant in just...anything. Your detailing of the women competitors within this industry is certainly to be a shared one. Forgetting the simple fact that until a couple weeks ago the title scene was dominated by female athletes, how you find yourself teaming up with a woman as well. Although, that was a rather nice save right there at the tail end.
There's a little smirk crossing over the domina's face before continuing.
Katalina: But there was one thing you were right about, the Orphanage was certainly dominating Fate of the Gods, with just one exception. An exception of one individual who seems to have arrived just in time to bask in the stables sudden warmth and proclaim...he's going to beat a couple of sluts. You see, Mathew, this is why Winter can mix herself into so many bowls, why English can hold onto the title, and you...well...
C'mon, don't let the thought trail.
Katalina: But you see, this is why trash talking doesn't work. Since coming here I've suffered one loss and have managed to dominate everyone else. So, with apologies to my sisters, pray tell, Mathew, who is the weakest?
She's got some explaining to do in the Compound later, that's for certain. But he started it!
Katalina: But really this whole match isn't about comparing certain individuals to their stable, fact is this is myself and Holly against you and Winter. A match...I was hoping wouldn't be the case. Not because of who you are, but because of who I want Holly to be taken as. Not my slave, not my puppy, my maid, or anything of that description. I wanted Holly to be seen as her own individual.
Kat shakes her head. This was what she wanted, it was what she said to her when Blink first appeared, but deep down she knew such an arrangement was inevitable.
Katalina: If Holly were to be persecuted over anything, it should be who she is and what she does in the ring. Or, as low as you took it, Mathew, to be criticized for her voice and her own self inflicted insult used back at her a number of times. I understand where you're going, but was the word “pathetic” truly the only one that could be used?
Funny thing to argue...
Katalina: But I'm going to set the record straight about her. She isn't pathetic, she isn't a waste or an embarrassment to me or anything any one of you would want to say about her. She has her quirks, we all do, but that doesn't make her any less of an individual. When others said she couldn't, she did. When others said she shouldn't, she tried. She's overcome a plethora of fears in her career and has come out on top every time. She's been called small, but she's risen above the rest. A spineless follower yet she's always been there for her friends. Her family. Even those who considered her an enemy. A lot of people despise that side of her, but I know a lot more love her for it.
Kat pauses a moment knowing she could go on but considers she really shouldn't.
Katalina: Truth be told, with apologies to Talon and Katie, there's no one I'd rather have in my corner. It's just a shame she has to be there.
The thought still brings about a smile as Kat nods and takes in a quick breath.
Katalina: But you know, considering what the two of you have done and said to my own friends, the very fact that you think the momentum of the Orphanage is going to continue, it's given me the answer to the question I posed at the start. Would I want to live forever?
Kat shakes her head.
Katalina: It would be a joy to do so, but without the fear of death there would be no drive. I don't want to have the thought that tomorrow I can make things better, because I won't allow that to be the case. Getting things done right the first time is all that matters. Beating the two of you...Holly and I will get this right the first time.
Pushing herself from the table, Kat starts off the scene leaving her riding crop behind.
Zahara: So I looked into a few preschools,
Kat lets out a troubled sigh when she hears that flicking out a few soap suds from a cup before running it through the rinse and passing it along to Zoey.
