The VOW logo burns onto the screens but this time white letters smack onto the screen underneath it: Exclusive. Darius Yates stands somewhere in the Roy Wilkins Auditorium. The reporter has a dead serious look on his face.
Darius Yates: Your boy, Darius Yates here with a VOW Exclusive. I'm here trying to get a word from one of our Visionaries after a fantastic show. I'm standing right next to the alleged locker room of one of the most controversial and troublesome Visionaries, "The Next Level Athlete" Brett Carson. Brett's been hiding in the locker room since his loss to Patrick Jones earlier in the evening, a loss that we clearly saw that he was upset over. Much like his other losses in recent weeks. However, Brett did show his face via the JumboVision during the Ziu Zhong and PKA match.
The camera zooms out to reveal that Darius is indeed standing next to the door that leads to Brett Carson's locker room.
Darius Yates: PKA was close to walking out the victor in that match until the distraction via the JumboVision by Brett. Now we were promised an explanation as to why Brett assaulted PKA after, Peeks' historic Xcel Championship win at VOW's 2nd ever PPV, Heatstroke. That hasn't happened and the show is very much over... But I plan on getting to the bottom of this by speaking with Brett himself. Hopefully we can finally get an explanation to this madness...
Darius nods with a determined look as he turns to the door and gives it a hard rattle. After a few moments the door slowly opens and Brett's head peaks out.
Brett Carson: The hell do you want?
Carson scowls bitterly towards Darus who simply smiles and riases the microphone towards Brett.
Darius Yates: Brett, I was wondering if I could get a quick word from you concerning first of all your thoughts on your loss to Patrick Jones tonight? You seemed rather visibly upset after the loss, Brett.
Carson sneers immediately before swinging the door in hopes of closing it. Darius puts his foot in the way and stops the door from fully shutting, he kicks it back open and steps in.
Darius Yates: Brett, I'd like for you to answer my question please.
Brett who had seemingly thought he was done with Darius turned back around. A look of bewilderness at the sight of Darius still standing there. He shakes it off for a moment before lightly chuckling.
Brett Carson: I've been going through a rough patch, Mr. Yates. I'm mentally not in the right place at this moment, that's affecting my matches but don't you worry...I plan on fixing that very soon. Question answered...Out.
Darius Yates: Wasn't quite all I was here for...You promised an explanation. You didn't deliver. I've taken it in my own hands to come on over and get answers out of you. Why the assault on PKA at Heatstroke and why the distractions tonight?
Brett once again sneers at the pushiness of Darius Yates. The self-proclaimed Next Level Athlete takes a step closer staring right into Darius' eyes who closes his eyes and sighs a little. Brett's voice hits a low, whisper.
Brett Carson: The Xcel Championship Tournament, the very first round I was...humiliated...pinned by a man who for years stood around with light tubes and barbwire. He advanced and got all the way to the end of that tournament and ever since that loss I haven't quite been the same. My manager has left me, my girlfriend felt like she was left out of my life...and most of all, I...couldn't recover.
Brett sighed with a sly smile peaking out during the sigh as Darius raised the microphone towards Brett's mouth.
Brett Carson: I couldn't get those thoughts of losing to PKA of all wrestlers. But what got me the most...is that he won the Xcel Championship. I title that he doesn't deserve, I couldn't give a crap who else he beat. He's disgraced the art of pro wrestling, he's disgraced the art that Bronx Goldie made famous, that people like Seth Iser are making famous, hell he's disgraced the art that Stefan Frei worked hard to build.
That's what gets me...He doesn't belong there. And I'm taking responsibility for why he's there...I'll make it right. If it means I have to erase him from the world of professional wrestling...then I'll do it.
Darius is shocked at the strong words of Brett Carson.
Darius Yates: Patrick earned his keep, Mr. Carson. He won that title fair and sq-
Brett Carson: Wrestling is not about fair and square anymore, Darius! Wrestling is a dog eat dog world, Wrestling is the art of grappling, headlocks, suplexes and submissions. I refuse to have our Xcel Champion be a man who walks out to the ring with light tubes in his hand.
Darius nods, slightly frustrated with Brett's blind logic.
Brett Carson: I will not stop until PKA is where he belongs...below me. For my track record, for the hardwork I've put into this sport, for my relationship and for wrestling. F[bleep] PKA!
Brett shoves Darius back out of the room and slams the door shut. You hear him scream with his gruff voice and slam something as Darius simply turns back around to the camera.
Darius Yates: Apologies for the rather vile Brett Carson but what's said needed to be said. We have answers and I assure you this isn't the last we've seen of the Carson/PKA saga. Brett Carson has a mission...We'll see if he succeeds in his mission to end Patrick Kay Anthony, and if he doesn't it could be interesting to see the aftermath. Either way this has been a VOW Exclusive, Darius Yates stepping off.
