Main Event
Zero Gravity Championship
Ziu Zhong (c) vs. Reya Serra
Axel Reid: For those just joining us. Before break, Stacy Jones was brutally assaulted by the Orphanage. Hopefully we will have more on her condition before the end of the night.
Without warning, all of the lights go out. For a few moments, there is nothing but silence and darkness…
Axel Reid: You can feel the cold chill here in Brooklyn tonight.
Suddenly, "Rise" by Skillet begins playing and an all-white pyrotechnic display goes off at the top of the ramp. As the display comes to a conclusion out walks none other than The Herald of Holiness herself, Reya Serra!
Jerry Heisenberg: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to decide the Zero Gravity Championship and his your MAIN EVENT of the EVENING! Introducing first, the challenger, Being led down the aisle by her manager, Paxar Vega... Standing 5’9” and weighing 135 lbs... Wrestling out of Los Angeles, California She is the Herald of Holiness... REYA SERRA!!!
The Herald, wearing skin tight white pants and a matching top makes her way down the ramp with her friend Paxar Vega following behind her wearing a similar dark blue ensemble, The two women wave and give high fives to members of the crowd before Reya slides into the ring, with Paxar remaining at ringside. As she stands in the middle of the ring, Reya bows her head in prayer while she awaits her opponent.
Axel Reid: Reya Serra, she is no stranger to main eventing here in VoW as she fought a brutal match with Seth Iser all the way back on the first Breakthrough almost one year ago.
Ruby Parvati: That was then, this is now. At Nothing Else Matters, one Janason sister choked in the main event when a title was on the line. Watch it happen here again.
Axel Reid: Must you always be so negative?
Ruby Parvati: Negative... Factual... Whatever you want to call it.
The arena descends into darkness and the sound of a picture being taken on a camera echoes throughout the arena. A quick flash lights up the titantron like a jolt of electricity before immediately disappearing again. Ziu’s smiling face in a still photo appears on the screen as the “Selfie song” by Mippey5 begins to play over the PA system. The fans immediately pop to their hometown hero.
“I’m bored, so I’ma take a selfie
I’m obsessed; it’s unhealthy
Click, share. I don’t care that I’m a man
I’ma take another pic and I’ma post to instagram.”
Various selfies that Ziu has taken throughout his wrestling career begin to flash up on the screen, one by one. Ziu sprints out on to the stage and throws both hands in the air at the top of the ramp. Wearing his usual sea blue attire and a “MR SELFIE” t shirt with the Zero Gravity title around his waist, he looks side to side and takes in the atmosphere.
Jerry Heisenberg: Her opponent... Making his way to the ring from NEW YORK CITY, standing 6’1” and 224 lbs... He is the reigning and defending Zero Gravity Champion... “Mr. Selfie” Ziu Zhong.
The crowd are on their feet for the hometown hero, especially the younger fans that seem to love Mr. Selfie. The electricity in the building gives Ziu even more adrenaline and he decides to jog to both sides of the stage and throws both hands in the air again.
Axel Reid: For the next few shows, we’re expecting to see a lot of love for Ziu Zhong, as well as Stacy Jones and Jermaine Brown.
Ruby Parvati: I wonder why it is that wrestling fans forget a peron’s merit as soon as we’re in their hometown.
Axel Reid: It’s not forgetting merit. It’s showing respect for somebody who came from the same place you did and is following their dream, making it become a reality.
The Centipede then makes his way down the ramp, pausing to take ‘selfies’ with his fans with the polaroid camera that always accompanies him to the ring. He hands over the printed pictures to his admiring fans as soon as the picture is taken. The arena cameras search the crowd for fans posing for the viewers at home. Whacky faces are made, cheeky tongues are out and poses that could make front page magazine’s are all on show when Ziu is around.
Axel Reid: This reception for Zhong. It’s amazing!
Finally, Ziu arrives at the bottom of the ramp and races through the bottom rope to enter the ring. With energy pumping through his veins, Ziu places his camera in one of the corners of the ring and jogs around, bouncing off the ropes to get ready for the match ahead.
Axel Reid: You have the relative newcomer to the sport, Ziu Zhong who is the defending champion on the left. And the world traveller, someone who has wrestled in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia on the right in the challenger, Reya Serra.
The referee checks both competitors and calls for the opening bell.
DING DING DING
The fans clap in unison to set the pace of the match. Mr. Selfie extends his hand out to Reya as a handshake, and Reya accepts.
Axel Reid: That right there is the sign of mutual respect between Ziu Zhong and Reya Serra. It should be noted that Zhong took to Twitter and told Reya that he was appalled at Brett Carson’s excuse of officiating the Twin City Championship match at Nothing Else Matters.
Ruby Parvati: He did a fine job. Here’s the thing, Brett Carson is a wrestler, not an official. I don’t understand why everybody is so critical of him for what I thought was a fine job.
Axel Reid: Fine job? He screwed Reya and RDO... Are you kidding me right now?
The two competitors circle each other to the beat of the crowd’s clapping.
Axel Reid: Collar-and-elbow lock up, but Zhong spins around with a rear waistlock.
Ruby Parvati: You can hear all the Ziu chants here in Brooklyn.
Axel Reid: One would have thought this crowd would have been evenly split, but these New Yorkers seem lo lean in favor of the Zero Gravity Champion.
Reya breaks out of the waist lock as she wrenches Ziu’s arm and brings him to his knees, but Ziu responds by rolling through and wrenches Reya’s arm.
Axel Reid: Such an even match up in pure wrestling talent.
Reya drops to one knee to relieve the pressure in her shoulder as Ziu cranks it tight. She’s able to find her opening and brings Mr. Selfie to the mat with a headlock takedown. As soon as they’re back up, Zhong takes the Herald down with a headlock of his own.
Axel Reid: This stalemate is incredible.
The fans start cheering vigorously as the two competitors, Reya on her knees, stare at each other than out to the fans who made it out to the show.
Ziu crouches down in the corner looking eye level with Reya before they both get back up and share a handshake.
Axel Reid: It is that respect that these two have for each other. No underhanded tactics that will make this a Zero Gravity title match that nobody will soon forget.
Both competitors circle around each other again... Ziu Zhong gaining control with another arm wrench bring Reya back to her knees.
Ruby Parvati: Reya is quick and she flies, Zhong is doing himself a favor keeping her grounded.
Reya tries to roll through, but Zhong blocks it and she hits the mat back first. At a point, both shoulders hit the mat.

KICKOUT
Reya is able to fight up with the armwrench still firmly applied. But Reya is able to maneuver herself to put in an armwrench of her own.
Ziu springboards off the ropes reversing the wrench back in his favor, but Reya soon counters with a variation of a Japanese armdrag.
Axel Reid: That respect these two have for the wrestling game. And you can tell that Zhong’s technical game has polished since taking on Patrick Jones as his friend and mentor. One has to wonder if he’ll be able to hold on to the Zero Gravity Championship and face his friend at the Manhattan Center at Fate of the Gods.
Reya spins around and raises both arms, allowing the kneeling Ziu to catch his breath.
Ruby Parvati: And that is what seperates Reya from Cera. Reya does not have that killer instinct needed to be a top champion in this business.
Axel Reid: But she has a respect for the business.
Ruby Parvati: And how far has that alone ever got anybody in VoW?
Axel Reid: Patrick Kay Anthony and Shane Sparx were respectively inaugural Xcel and ZG Champs off that mantra.
Reya holds out her hand this time down to Ziu and he accepts and they shake as Ziu gets up to his feet.
Axel Reid: There is so much respect between these two it’s refreshing to see a match based on sportspersonship, not deceit or trickery.
Ruby Parvati: It’s just pandering to the masses, nothing more.
Axel Reid: Why are you always such a Negative Nancy?
Reya now finding her opening and starts the new exchange with a hammerlock, but Ziu in no time reverses it into one of his own, then Reya with the same counter.
Axel Reid: Dualing hammerlocks, and listen to this crowd! They’re actually loving it!
Double Z goes for a cutter, but Reya blocks it and somehow Ziu still turns it into a Japanese arm drag.
Axel Reid: Reya popping back up but a quick sweep knocking her back down to the mat. Zhong floats over for the cover and Reya kicks out before the ref can even call a ‘one.’
Ziu on his feet as Reya tries to leg sweep him, but he backflips over her legs then snaps a low front dropkick to the side of her head and he springs back up to his feet like nothing happened.
Ruby Parvati: Ha! I’ll admit it... That was awesome, he damn near kicked her head off!
Axel Reid: Reya is tough but anybody who has watched Ziu Zhong in the ring knows he has a high energy offense that appeals to the school of showmanship.
Ziu outstretches his arms and spins 360° to embrace the shower of affection from his fellow New Yorkers as Reya pulls herself to a seated position in the corner. The Herald furrows her eyebrows a bit but her facial features soften as Paxar gives her words of encouragement.
Axel Reid: Paxar Vega helping Reya stay optimistic in this battle. It has been a long while since Reya Serra has seen singles gold. I believe the last singles championship she has held was in Phoenix Wrestling, which unfortunately folded this past Wednesday on the eighth of April. She held their International Championship through the summer of 2013. Where she was defeated by a man known simply to the fans of PW as Bad Ass.
Ruby Parvati: Bad Ass aptly describes either his Weezer-esque, Nintendocore fashion sense or the defeat of the lesser Janason sister.
Axel Reid: Look at that... Just like earlier, but now it is Ziu Zhong extending his hand down to Reya with a handshake and helping her back to her feet.
“MIS-TER SELFIE!” and “LET’S GO REYA!” chants start dueling across the Aviator Center. Both competitors stare out around the venue into the crowd before they start circling each other again.
Axel Reid: Collar and elbow... The Zero Gravity Champion transitions it to a beautiful side headlock. Reya on her knees.
Ruby Parvati: Psh... she wouldn’t even know what to do down there...
Axel Reid: Ruby, she’s Catholic... They pray on their knees.
Reya fights her way back up to her feet and pushes Ziu into the ropes. The Centipede comes back and knocks her to the canvas with a stiff shoulder block.
Ziu Zhong: Come on, I know you got more than that...
Ruby Parvati: Ziu Zhong perhaps with a little trash talk directed towards the Herald.
Mr. Selfie then runs the ropes and hops over Reya and runs the otherside, Reya pops up and hits a headscissor takedown. They both get up and Reya does an arm drag, then follows up with cyclone armdrag just using her lightning fast speed to maneuver around Double Z.
Axel Reid: Such a performence by Reya Serra. Between her and the reigning Zero Gravity Champion, she is the veteran of the ring as Ziu Zhong, although this isn’t exactly his rookie year, still can gain experience each night in the squared circle.
Reya landed on her knees and she holds her hands together and bows her head in a quick prayer as the fans cheer.
Ruby Parvati: Your god can’t save you. This is wrestling. It’s be brutal or be brutalized.
Axel Reid: Ziu Zhong is in the corner looking across the ring at his challenger and I wonder if he’s thinking to himself. Did he underestimate Reya Serra? If we go on the vitals in terms of her size and speed she’s very similar to her twin sister, Cera. Cera had faced Ziu months back, but Ziu was able to capitalize of Cera’s hasty mistake as she smacked her head on the mat after a dropkick. Reya is not as hasty has Cera. Not that Cera is sporadic, she’s also methodical. But Reya doesn’t have that same hot headed temper that Cera does. Reya may be the perfect challenger to finally stop Ziu Zhong’s impressive Zero Gravity title run.
Time stands still with Reya in the middle of the ring, Ziu slouched in the corner and they stare at each other before looking out to the sea of fans cheering both competitors on. The Ziu chants are slightly louder in his hometown.
Axel Reid: I’ve spoke with Mr. Selfie in the back. He wanted to bring his A-Game. He knew his mentor, Patrick Jones, was the challenger for the Zero Gravity Championship at Fate of the Gods and he wants that match, the opportunity to stand on the opposite side of the ring from his mentor for that blue and gold plated championship. In order to that, Double Z needs to re-strategize.
Ziu snaps up out of the corner and the two grapplers once again circle each other. The old-school pace of this encounter seems confusing as both Reya and Ziu are known for speed and aerial tactics.
Axel Reid: Another collar-elbow. Reya quickly transitioning it into a side headlock. Until Zhong pushes her to the ropes and she rebounds back as he goes for a shoulder block, but The Herald pushes him back and he bounces of the ropes with a running version of that shoulder block knocking the much lighter woman down to the canvas.
Ziu then shrugs and runs the ropes, but Reya rolls towards him and he flips over her with a handstand and back to his feet and runs the other side of the ropes as Reya’s back up but she uses his momentum to whip him pass her and she attempts a classic back body drop but Double Z lands on his feet! Reya notices and runs the ropes but Ziu uses his athletic ability to leapfrog over her and she tucks and rolls under his legs to do a quick turnaround, but Ziu answers with running headscissors of his own, launching Reya out of the ring through the bottom and second ropes.
Axel Reid: My word!
Ruby Parvati: What a hurricanrana slash headscissors maneuver....

2...
Reya is leaning against the guardrail as Ziu looks out to the crowd and gets them to clap along with him.
Axel Reid: Ever the showman, Mr. Selfie commands the crowd with a charisma unlike anything seen in VoW before.
3...
Ziu picks up his Polaroid laying on the apron and takes a Selfie before tossing the Polaroid out in the crowd where a man is able to snatch it and hand it off to his young son.
4...
Ruby Parvati: What a crowd pleaser. But winning over the crowd doesn’t win matches.
Axel Reid: Maybe not, but it does get your name out there.
5...
Ziu then climbs out onto the apron and Reya comes over to him, and she hit with a solebutt kick that knocks her back towards the rail. Paxar gets close to check on her, but Ziu bounces off the ropes and Reya pushes Paxar out of the way as Ziu connects.
Axel Reid: Asai moonsault! Paxar Vega mere fractions of a second away from getting hammered, but Reya saving her friend and manager.
Ruby Parvati: He may have landed it, but he went back first into the guardrail.
The crowd starts chanting “V.O.Dub! V.O.Dub! V.O.Dub!” as the front row fans slap the barricade in a frenzy to urge the two competitors to continue on in this Zero Gravity main event.
Axel Reid: This crowd is electric. They are getting their money’s worth of solid wrestling from what I can see.

2...
Reya rolls around in pain from hitting the floor. And Ziu pulls himself up before hobbling to the timekeeper’s table to open up a bottle of water that he takes a sip from. He rubs his wrist across his mouth and his hobble is not as labored as he goes back towards Reya.
3...
Axel Reid: Zhong now taking Reya back into the ring.
Ziu rolls in under the bottom rope and makes a cover hooking Reya’s leg.

2...
KICKOUT!
Axel Reid: It has been a while since Reya has come close to smelling championship gold with the exception of the Twin City Championships that her and her partner, RDO were screwed out of at Nothing Else Matters.
Reya gets up to her knees but Ziu kicks her in the chest. Reya’s face twists in pain but she shakes her head, willing herself through the agony. Ziu kicks her above her breasts one more time and she continues to allow the pain to keep her down.
Ruby Parvati: The Centipede taking a couple steps back and gets a running start on his next kick to the top of her chest. Is she getting upset? Is Reya gonna cry?
Ziu runs the ropes but Reya pops to her feet and plants the champ with a thunderous standing tornado DDT. Reya staggers into the ropes and leans on them catching her breath as Ziu is down and out in the center of the ring.
Axel Reid: This could be Reya’s time to capitalize... What will we see here?
Ruby Parvati: She could be taking too much time here. I get being fatigued, but her experience should be pushing her forward.
Reya steps back from the ropes and falls on top of Ziu.

2...
KICKOUT!!!
Axel Reid: Not enough, Zhong kicks out as Reya goes to hook his leg.
Reya shakes it off as Mr. Selfie pulls himself back into the corner. Reya gets up and she slowly, cautiously closes in on the man she needs to beat to see her first bit of VoW gold.
She gestures for him to stand up, but Zhong just stares at her. Reya shakes her head and lays a hard kick into Zhong’s stomach causing him to fall to a seated position. His mouth opens as he lets out an agonizing groan.
Axel Reid: We are starting to see a more aggressive side of the Herald of Holiness. Since she came back into the fold we have noticed she’s more focused and she is here to spread the good word and possibly be the best damn wrestler she can possibly be.
Reya stomps another time and another time before waving Ziu to come out of the corner. He leaves on his knees and delivers a forearm shot into his challenger’s abdomen causing her to double over. Zhong gets up and starts hitting forearm smashes right into Reya’s face one after another as Paxar, on the outside, pleads for Reya to cover up or hit back.
Axel Reid: Zhong goes for another irish whip... Reya scouts a back body drop... Kick to the face she runs back off the ropes...
Ruby Parvati: Enziguiri out of nowhere by the ZG titleholder.... Reya Serra is now on wobbly legs...
Axel Reid: Reya on dream street finally topples over, what a kick to her head...
Reya tries to get back to her knees but falls over, Ziu looks like he’s about to lay some offense but goes for the cover instead.
1...
2...
KICKOUT!!!
Axel Reid: So much will to go on resides within the Herald of Holiness.
Ziu looks around shaking his head. He pulls Reya to her feet and walks her into the corner. He takes a deep breath and whips her as hard as he can into the opposite corner and the impact jars her spine as you she her body contort in reaction to what could have felt very well like a car wreck.
Ruby Parvati: Ziu Zhong getting super serious. He’s on a mission he wants to walk into Fate of the Gods as Zero Gravity and he’s not going to let anybody, including Reya Serra take that goal away from him.
Axel Reid: Look at ring side. Paxar concerned for her friend as she’s asking her if she can continue. It’s hard to see from this angle, but I would believe Reya wants to continue.
Ziu from halfway across the ring dives right on top of Reya and goes for the cover.

3???
NO! KICKOUT!
Axel Reid: Reya sacrificing her back to make capturing the ZG strap a reality. It’s been years since her last taste of singles gold. She’s been so accomplished in this sport. She’s known world wide as an interpromotional ambassador. For example, competing various tournaments such as Sin City Wrestling’s Queen of Sin in multiple years. Reya Serra has a dry spell in New Edge Wrestling, and in her first run here, but this is a new Reya, this is a determined Reya, and Ziu Zhong is about to find out why Reya Serra should never be underestimated.
Ruby Parvati: Maybe not.. Mr. Selfie whips Reya into the turnbuckles hard again and she falls to her knees.
Ziu steps over to here and begs for her to hit him. She pulls back and hits a hard shot into his abs causing him to grimace. The fans admiring the herald’s will to go on start slapping the barricade and stomping the floor like a war beat trying to drive her... Soon enough the crowd erupts into a chorus of “Ziu vs Reya! Ziu vs Reya! Ziu vs Reya!”
Axel Reid: Reya keeps striking away with elbows until she’s up to her feet!
Ziu grabs Reya and whips her to the corner one more time, but she springs off it instead with a crossbody, the connect wasn’t flush but it still took Ziu down to the mat. The challenger is up to her knees as the champ pulls himself up in the corner. Reya pulls herself up by the ropes and has her sights locked on Zhong in the corner. Paxar cups her mouth on the outside.
Paxar Vega: Can I get a ‘hallelujah’?
The crowd responds back in unison. “HALLELUJAH!”
Axel Reid: Reya charging for her Hallelujah kick, but Mr. Selfie out of the corner with a forearm, knocking Reya backwards and her legs are wobbly again. Zhong with a cartwheel and leaps up on Reya’s shoulders, taking the Herald down with a sharp hurricanrana, driving her head into the mat. He reaches back to hook both legs...

2...
3???
NOOO! KICKOUT!
Ruby Parvati: Unnecessary frustration on the face of Ziu Zhong.
Ziu then charges the ropes and hits a lionsault atop Reya.
Axel Reid: Ziu very frustrated did not precede his patented springboard maneuver with a spear as he normally does.
1...
2...
3???
NOO! KICKOUT!!!
Ruby Parvati: What is this? Reya should be down and out for the count...
Ziu starts slapping away at the mat before he climbs the turnbuckle. He rotates his arms signalling for Ziu Fly.
Axel Reid: Zhong wants this victory bad and at any cost...
Reya is holding her arm up high and continues to open and close her hand. Ziu launches off as Reya rolls out of the way. Ziu is able to land on his feet in an impressive feat of control.
Axel Reid: Excellent ring awareness!
Reya gets to her feet and staggers forward into a solebutt kick, knocking her back.
Ziu storms forward and goes for an elbow strike, but Reya ducks it spinning him around and she hits him with a Russian legsweep knocking him back of the head first into the bottom turnbuckle.
Axel Reid: Call to Arms in the hardest way possible...
Ruby Parvati: That may be the single most pivotal point in the match as both of these... Both of them are laying out on the canvas.
The fans start pouring support into the two popular grapplers as they start to stagger back up. Reya pulled herself up to her feet in the corner. Zhong pushes off the mat to his feet. Reya charges and gets hit with a strong forearm causing her to stagger back.
Axel Reid: Forearm smashes from Zhong pushing Reya into the corner. He runs to the opposite side, wait Reya is charging out right after him, Zhong turns when he meets the corner and he meets a HALLELUJAH KICK!!!
Ruby Parvati: The capacity packed Aviator Center is going crazy... I am too watching these two beat the crap out of each other.
Reya grabs Ziu in a front face lock and spins with him, stepping up to the the second rope.
Axel Reid: She’s going for Serra’s Blessing... that tornado DDT.
She pushes her feet of the ropes and spins around, but Ziu shoves her off and and she hits the canvas hard, rolling onto her back.
Ziu looks around and bounds up to the top and launches off for his shooting star...
Axel Reid: Ziu Fly! Hook of the leg...
The crowd chants along.

3!!!
DING! DING! DING!
Jerry Heisenberg: Here is your winner and STILL Zero Gravity Champion!!! “Mr. Selfie” Ziu Zhong!!!
Axel Reid: What an impressive encounter by both of these competitors. Reya Serra came so close to getting the win and at times I thought she did win. She has nothing to be ashamed of in this fight.
Ruby Parvati: Well she didn’t win it.
Axel Reid: Sometimes, I think I’d like to see you get in that ring and compete.
Ruby Parvati: Uh, I’m not a wrestler
Axel Reid: Don’t judge something you have never done before.
Ziu receives his title back from the ref as with labored breath he mouths out “We’re gonna meet my friend, two more to go...”
Paxar climbs in the ring and checks on Reya who sits up and has a look of disappointment on her face. Ziu looks down and offers his hand. Reya looks up and takes it as he helps her up and wraps one arm around her.
Ziu Zhong: Thank you, for this match... Ziu then raises Reya’s arm and points to her as the fans cheer.
Axel Reid: Incredible display of sportsmanship. Ziu Zhong is as respectable as he is dominant in the ring. That’s one more successful title defense. He has been the most dominate champion VoW has seen to date. Can anybody stop this man?
Ruby Parvati: Well as noted tonight, Feolan O’Hannigáin has his first strike in the wellness policy and was suspended and stripped of his opportunity to challenge for the title in the Bronx, reducing the Zero Gravity title match to a triple threat between Katie Moicelle, “Phenomenal” Steve Herring, and Ziu Zhong.
Axel Reid: This is all the time we have left. Thank you one, thank you all for tuning into this episode of VoW Breakthrough, we’ll see you in a couple of weeks, live from the Bronx for Breakthrough 25!
The scene fades out into the VoW logo.
