Emergence of the Red Reaper: Part One
"Bitter Introductions"
“Who the Fuck is Scarlet Flint?”
Honestly, that’s a good question. Shit, that’s actually one I’ve been trying to answer for the past 22 years or so. I can’t tell you all of what I’ve learned; but, here are a few things that I can tell you:
“Scarlet Flint” is one of the realest people you will ever meet in your damn life…
“Scarlet Flint” is one of the “baddest” chicks you ever will see. Don’t try to talk to me tho’, I’m taken…
And lastly―
Oh shit! It just occurred to me. Yall really don’t give a fuck about me as person, do yall? You all just want to know who I am as a wrestler right?
Well let me give you a quick rundown.
. . .
It’s funny how the U.S. talks all that good “women’s equality” mess, because in the confines of professional wrestling, we aren’t equal. Case in point, look at the amount of women’s promotions there are out there―only a couple right?
Last year a small women’s only promotion in Miami, Florida popped up. It was called Women of Miami Wrestling. Now, on paper, you’d think the company would flourish right? I mean, it was backed by the UWL, it was in sunny, luscious Miami―the promotion should have been making money hand over foot right?
Yeah...not so much.
Natasha Rose ran that company, for those who aren't in the know. Now, I’m going to be realer than real right now―that company was a piece of shit. Natasha will probably feel some type of way about me saying that, but, it’s the truth and she knows it. The building was shabby, the crowds were terrible, and with the exception of one wrestler (can you guess who it is?) the roster was god-awful.
I know Natasha ran the place. But truthfully, I’m not sure how much power she honestly had. Maybe UWL tied her hands; I heard the company was known to do that. Or maybe Natasha just flat out sucked...I can’t tell you which one was the case.
Anyway, WMW popped up at the right time. I had just reconnected with my sister, who lives in NY. I would visit her all the time and was looking for promotion on the East Coast. I was contacted by a WMW representative, and then later I spoke to Natasha herself. Eventually, I signed on the dotted line and joined the fed.
During my time in there I carried that damn promotion. The little recognition WMW, the little money that it made―it was all because of me. During my tenure there, I became the first and only WMW World Women’s Champion. I defended the belt every chance I could (because I was never scared of my opponents), and I paraded that title around at every other promotion I happened to work at.
I strapped WMW on my back and carried it as far as I could. But after a while, when I realized the company’s positioning still wasn’t improving, despite all my blood, sweat, and tears―I had enough, and so, I left.
Shortly after I left, the company folded. Was it my fault? Probably. But shit, I needed to get away from that place and do what was best for me you know?
. . .
While I was in WMW and holding its title, a Japanese promotion called Glory for Puroresu showed some interest in me. They offered to fly me out to Japan every couple of weeks and beat up on their home grown wrestlers. It was an opportunity I could pass up (shit, at least that’s what I thought that the time).
After the ordeal with WMW I stayed with Glory for a while...technically speaking, I’m still signed there now actually. Glory...Glory was supposed to be that good “Promise Land.” It was backed by rich Japanese business men, it was had this “rich legacy,” at least that what people claim.
My first day in the company I was told that I wouldn’t thrive because I was white...go figure huh? After that, me and my tag team partner Levi Chambers were screwed out of the tag team titles; the general manager blatantly broke rules and guidelines so that we wouldn’t hold those belts. Next, the promotion tried to short-change me on my pay.
Yo’, picture this. I held Glory’s extreme title three times, more than anyone in the company’s history. I defended it more than anyone; I even defended it against wrestlers from other promotions (worldwide promotions). And, because it was Japan, I was defending the belt in Deathmatch.
Now, care to guess who much I was making?
$500 a match.
By now I probably seem like a rambling angry person. But, can...can you understand a bitch’s frustration now?
. . .
“Who the fuck is Scarlet Flint?”
Scarlet Flint is woman who has been shat upon her entire career as a professional wrestler; even though she has proven herself time and time again to be better than the rest. Scarlet Flint is a woman beat down and abused all of her life.
And quite frankly, Scarlet Flint is a woman who is tired of all the bullshit!
So, I suppose could say that’s why I’m here in UWF. Yeah, I’m in this little tournament thing. And who knows, I might fuck around and actually win that title. Although, that Euro Asian belt is really more speed, but that’s another matter for another day.
I’m here in UWF to reek a little bit of havoc.
