it's official. VoW has ballooned in size and has hit a roster of 40 members! YAY! Let's do the happy dance and the safety dance! With that said I want to thank those of you who have joined us on this Vision since day one. Those who have joined within the past couple weeks As well as everyone in between. It is with all of your contributions that VoW is as successful as it is. Thank you, the handlers who have been contributing with roleplays, segments, matches. You are all integral parts that help VoW function on a foundation of teamwork.
With that said, you may have guessed but VoW is officially and publicly acknowledging a roster cap of 40 members. As much as we would love to keep growing, we need to be realistic about what we as management and staff can handle. We'd like to not have abnormally large cards each show. As well as cutdown on the possibility of random multi man matches. We want to make sure members get to rp as often as they like in a fed that is biweekly. So many concerns that come with a large size. We need to take action and officially cap the roster. I'm wincing just thinking about it. However, we want this to remain fun and a game and not become a burden and work. Fate of the Gods was a spectacular but energy taxing event. And "energy taxing" is ultimately what I foresee happening if we let the roster swell even more in size. Maybe in the future we'd be able to reasonably support more than forty, but growth is only good in spurts, not in binges. I've seen many organizations not just in fedding collapse under their own weight because they got too big, too fast. We do not want this negative fate for VoW or you guys. You busted your asses off to help us make this fed a fistful of awesomesauce. And we don't want your efforts to go down the path of nothing.
For anybody who may see this, who is not signed with VoW but was interested, keep checking for openings and stay up-to-date with us. We will hold onto applications if you sign up to the boards. Please leave memos on who you are and how we can contact you.
Thank you every one for a great year one. This is my first rodeo as a fedhead and I would not be able to do it without a fantastic roster. I also want to thank a few people who make or made VoW possible.
Steve who is THE founder who made VoW possible in the first place, without him VoW wouldn't have existed. It was a little over a year ago him and I talked about starting our own fed. He is one of the original four fedheads, and we all wouldn't be together in this fed if he didn't talk to me one fateful afternoon. He may be on indefinite hiatus, but you guys have no idea all the great things he had wished upon our project. He's a fantastic co-head
Thank you to another co-fedhead... Vanessa who is my graphical guru. She makes all the pretty graphics and pictures so this site doesn't look like poop. She also helps judge the matches and performs other managerial duties when Owen and I get into slap fights.
Thank you to our junior admin, Owen! This guy for a teenager halfway across the world has helped me out immensely. He is probably my right hand man. He's that glad handed douchebag John Laurinaitis to my millionaire who should be a billionaire Vince McMahon. But seriously, this guy helps me make calls on matches and other operational duties within the fed. He's been loyal and awesome. VoW Management is BLESSED and LUCKY to have him on their team.
I also want to thank Slater. He was Owen's predecessor and is no longer with VoW, but formed the Original Four along with myself, Vanessa, and Steve. He had high hopes for this fed and does check in from time to time. I hope he's proud of what he also helped build. He deserves recognition for helping laying the ground work in our rules and what to expect of a quality fed. He is also responsible for his help in tutoring me on code. If it weren't for Slater. There'd be some features on here we wouldn't be able to have. His legacy will ALWAYS remain.
Thanks to our friends at GPW who helped make one of our Fate of the Gods main events possible. We have a strong affiliation with them and it's great to see when two different feds can come together in a positive manner. It's something of which this game truly needs more. Thank you GPW for being a proud supporter of VoW as VoW is a proud supporter of GPW.
With all the clichés out of the way. I once again thank you the members for choosing to ride along with VoW and not only ride. But grip the steering wheel and put your own stories in gear. Fate of the Gods was important because you all should reflect uponthat tilte and realize you are in control of your own destinies here. Think of Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society "Carpe diem: Seize the day." What you reap in VoW is based on what you sow. And I know you all can sow great things. I believe in you all. Steve, V, and Owen believe in you all. Most importantly. You should believe in yourselves. Thank you and lets kick off a spectacular year two. Give yourselves a round of applause.
