The Bellis Street Socialites Vs. Chaos Sworn
The feed returns to ringside as 'Because I'm Awesome' by the Dollyrots begins to play over the arena speakers. Kelsey and Rebecca come out at the top of the ramp, giving each other overzealous compliments as they do. Thaddeus accompanies them down to the ring, as they swap insults with fans.
Jerry Heisenberg: The following is a tag team contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Thaddeus Blaine van der Rohe III, the team of Rebecca Saint and Kelsey Spencer...THE BELLIS! STREET! SOCIAAAAAALIIIIITES!!
They climb into the ring and retreat to the far corner as Thaddeus straightens his tie, waiting for their opponents.
Axel Reid: The Bellis Street Socialites, Kelsey Spencer and Rebecca Saint, set to make their debut as a team here, after having individual debuts at Breakthrough #37, in Alabama! And quite the task they're facing, too...
Ruby Parvati: Yes, let's hope that Kelsey girl doesn't spoil this for Rebecca! Poor Becky always has to set her straight, it's awful!!
Axel Reid: Well, Kelsey gave good account of herself two weeks ago...I wouldn't bank on anything like that happening here tonight.
Before Ruby can respond either way, The arena darkens while fog wafts up from beneath the stage, lights going off with a strobe effect meant to resemble lightning as the sound of thunder rumbles through the speakers. The sounds go silent after a few moments before the lights come up with a blue tint, a spotlight shining down on two kneeling figures who rises from within the fog at the top of the ramp moments before "The Watcher" by Xandria starts.
"Hate! Greed! The world turns to ashes!
War! Creed! No sign from Heaven!
Burn! Bleed! All just for nothing!"
One of the two, throwing back her hood and thus revealing the skull mask beneath, is Emma Carlisle. She lifts her cane into the air as the opening chorus gives way to a more slightly more subdued, foreboding tune. At her side is Joanna Thade, wielding her runed warhammer, Hephty. She surveys the crowd like a feral hellcat choosing its prey. Coming up behind them is Opeare Sheilds, who stands with Joanna. The foursome walks purposefully down to the ring, Emma and Joanna in front, Opeare in their wake. None pay any heed to the reaching hands and the reactions negative or otherwise hurled in their direction, stopping and staring into the ring as they arrive at the apron.
Jerry Heisenberg: And their opponents, at a combined weight of 287 pounds, and accompanied to the ring by Opeare Shields, the team of The Nihilist and The Warchild....CHAOS! SWOOOOOORRRRNNN!!!
"See the clouds in the sky still burning
Watch me counting the days in the rain
White eiderdown falls to the ground
Cover all that has been with death."
Emma pulls herself up onto the apron and enters the ring, casting aside her cloak as she walks to the center as Joanna runs and slides in under the bottom rope. Peeling off the mask, the Nihilist glares into the camera before tilting her head back and shrieking loudly. More of the thunder and strobe lighting erupts at this, briefly, before she lowers her head again. Joanna moves to take a knee before her, the maul portion of Hephty pressed to the mat while Emma places a black-nailed hand on her partner's shoulder, the Warchild affecting a delightedly malicious smile and shrieking laughter to match her partner's deafening wail. "The Watcher" fades out slowly and the Chaossworn back into one corner, unwillingly handing their armament to their respective seconds who remain outside the ring in their charges' corner. Joanna paces hungrily in front of the still and stoic Emma who sits atop the top turnbuckle, head lowered.
Axel Reid: What a terrifying presence those two strike... And we have yet to even see what Emma Carlisle can do in a wrestling capacity...
Ruby Parvati: I'll agree ChaosSworn have run rampant backstage over the past few months...but can they be as dominant inside a ring? Hmmm...
Axel Reid: I guess we'll see in just a moment!
Indeed, as the two announcers debate ChaosSworn's chances in the upcoming match-up, the bell has rung to signal the start of the match!
Kelsey Spencer starts for her team, opposite Joanna Thade, whom Emma has allowed to take first strike. Right away, perhaps because of Rebecca's egging or perhaps knowing it is unwise to give her opponent too much space, Kelsey is on top of the smaller woman with a flurry of punches. These take Joanna aback, allowing Kelsey to connect with an elbow to the face, then another, and another. As Joanna reels, the Bellis Street Socialite hits a dropkick, sending The Warchild to the ropes, then follows up with a running clothesline, throwing her opponent over the top and to the outside!
Axel Reid: Great flurry of offence early on from Kelsey Spencer, catching Joanna completely unaware! I don't think there's any risk she could cost her team the match here...not after seeing THAT!
Ruby Parvati: Yes, maybe I was wrong...but she'd better keep on her opponent, just in case.
This is exactly what Rebecca is now yelling at Kelsey, in-between asking Emma “how she likes them now”. As for the redhead, she simply seems surprised that she was able to gain so much offence on the Warchild, and takes a moment to realise she had better go after her.
This is what ends up costing her, for when she steps through the ropes, Joanna is waiting to pounce. As the referee tells Emma to return to her corner – The Nihilist having motioned as if to go after Rebecca – Joanna takes advantage and rakes the eyes of Kelsey, momentarily blinding her and making her stagger. This is just long enough of an opening for The Warchild to ram her foe against the ring post face-first, then – as Kelsey comes reeling back – to floor her opponent with an inverted DDT!
Ruby Parvati: She'll have a bump in the morning!
As The Warchild rolls through to her feet, her wicked smirk indicates she is ready for more mischief. After checking the referee's count is still at 'SIX', she picks up the groggy Kelsey and rams her into the steel steps, dislocating them. Kelsey goes sprawling over them, but only until Joanna picks her up again and rolls her into the ring. With the referee's count at 'EIGHT', The Warchild then begins to scale the turnbuckle. Once up top, she takes a moment to study her opponent before taking off with a swanton bomb!
Axel Reid: JOANNA OFF THE TOP!!
The move lands flush, and Joanna covers!
ONE!
TWO!
...Kelsey grabs the ropes!!!
Ruby Parvati: What?! How is she still conscious?!
Axel Reid: I guess there's more to her than meets the eye...
Joanna seems to be asking herself the exact same question, if the look the cameras capture when they close up on her face is anything to go by. Now irate, she picks Kelsey up and throws her towards the farthest corner. She then runs at the Socialite and hits a low front dropkick, sending her to the mat once again!
Ruby Parvati: What impact from Joanna, and she can cover here!
Instead, however, the Warchild steps back and tags in her partner, who promptly steps into a VoW ring for the very first time!
Axel Reid: Here comes Emma Carlisle!
Ruby Parvati: That was a mistake...Joanna gave her momentum away...
Indeed, as Emma goes to pick Kelsey up, it appears Ruby's words may prove true, as Kelsey gets a second wind and aims a series of punches at The Nihilist's stomach! Caught by surprise, Emma releases the Socialite, allowing her to ram her head into her midsection! This sends Emma reeling further back, and Kelsey is able to ram through her with a spear!
Axel Reid: Kelsey Spencer is back in with a shout!
Ruby Parvati: I had a feeling Emma Carlisle would be all bark and no bite...
Once again, Kelsey seems in awe of what she accomplished, and takes a moment to react. As she looks down at the fallen Nihilist in wonderment, however, a shout from Rebecca brings her back to reality. She looks at her partner uncertainly, her expression indicating that she would rather finish it herself, but Rebecca is having none of it; she orders her understudy to tag her in, and Kelsey is left with no choice but to comply. A moment later, Rebecca is entering the fray.
Ruby Parvati: Here comes Becky, to finish this off!
It does not seem, however, as though the more vocal half of the Bellis Street Socialites is in any hurry to end the contest. Instead, as Emma takes a knee to recover from Becky's offence, she taunts The Nihilist, telling her she is 'not so scary now' and that she is 'her bitch'. To all this, Emma reacts with merely a lowered head and a semi-kneeling position, seemingly taking all the abuse from her opponent...
...that is, until Rebecca steps closer and The Nihilist pounces. A couple of quick moves later, Rebecca finds herself trapped in a cobra clutch!
Axel Reid: Did you see that? What reflexes from Emma Carlisle!
Ruby Parvati: She was playing possum and Rebecca fell for it...anyone would have made the same mistake!
Axel Reid: Well, quite the calling card, at any rate...Rebecca is risking losing her arm here!
Indeed, the way Emma is twisting the Australian's arm, that seems like a distinct possibility. The camera captures the pained expression on Rebecca's face as she reaches to the ropes, to no avail. It seems as though this might be the end for the Bellis Street Socialite...
...until Emma releases the hold!
Axel Reid: WHAT?!
Ruby Parvati: I told you she was...
Whatever insult was bursting forth from the announcer's mouth is stopped short, as Rebecca – who tried a desperate lunge for the ropes – gets caught in a camel clutch and brought right back to the starting position. As Emma sits down to cinch in the move, the smug, evil smirk on her features tells the whole story.
Axel Reid: Emma Carlisle was simply toying with Rebecca Saint!
That was, indeed, the case – and now it seems as though there really is no way out for Rebecca. The Socialite tries and fails to stand up, and seems as though she is about to tap...
...when Kelsey Spencer barges in and kicks Emma in the head, knocking her aside!
Axel Reid: Kelsey Spencer, from out of nowhere, with the save!!
Seeing her 'Goldie' get kicked in the head, Joanna makes a livid attempt to come in; the referee, however, holds her back, as Kelsey checks on her partner. Despite a significant amount of grimacing and holding onto her arm, Rebecca waves off her friend's concerns, sending her to the corner in no uncertain fashion just as the referee comes over for the same purpose. Kelsey once again has no choice but to obey, as Rebecca goes to pick the still-dazed Emma up.
Axel Reid: The tides appear to have turned here, but for how long?
Having returned Emma to a standing position, Rebecca floors her with a DDT, before beginning to stomp all over her, shrieking defiantly. The referee comes over to put a stop to this, but Rebecca pre-emptively reaches down to lock Emma in a single-leg Boston crab. The Nihilist mule-kicks in no uncertain fashion, so Rebecca changes tack, going for an ankle lock. This, she manages to lock in, but only for a moment, before Emma jolts her body up, grabs the set of ropes in front of her, twists around and kicks out with her other leg, sending Rebecca reeling!
Ruby Parvati: Uh-oh...
Quick as a panther, The Nihilist is on her feet and stalking her opponent as she scrambles to her feet. The camera catches the evil smirk on her features as she leans down and grabs Rebecca's long dyed-red hair...
...only for her opponent to put up a fight, swatting wildly in every direction. This does not put off The Nihilist, but Rebecca's series of punches to the stomach do, disturbing Emma just enough for her to release her opponent's hair. She reaches back for a clothesline, but Rebecca dodges, hitting a dropkick to Death Incarnate's back that sends her towards the ropes. Rebecca quickly rolls through to her feet, but Emma is just as quick spinning around, and when Rebecca runs at her for a chop block, moves out of the way, sending her opponent through the middle rope to the outside!
Axel Reid: Out goes Rebecca Saint, and Emma is back in control of this match!
Once on the outside, Rebecca wastes no time scrambling to hide behind her manager to try and get away from 'The Nihilist'. Thaddeus Blaine van der Rohe III seems distinctly uncomfortable with Emma's proximity, but does his duty, acting as a human shield just long enough to allow his client to get away. By the time Emma angrily shoves him aside, Rebecca is re-entering the ring some distance away, and scrambling to tag in Kelsey Spencer!
Axel Reid: Kelsey Spencer comes back in, but...what's this?
To Kelsey's surprise, the minute she has tagged her partner in, Rebecca takes off up the ramp, signalling for Thaddeus to follow her!
Axel Reid: Is Rebecca abandoning her partner?! So much for that theory of yours, Ruby!
Kelsey seems to be asking the same question of her partner, who, as she retreats up the ramp, assures the redhead that this is 'a test' of some sort. Kelsey does not seem too convinced, but has little time to react, as she finds herself stalked from behind by Emma Carlisle!
Axel Reid: WATCH OUT!!
Just about managing to forward-roll out of The Nihilist's attempt at grabbing her, Kelsey rolls through to her feet and spins around in time to land a dropkick on Emma. She then scrambles to her feet and once again runs at her opponent, looking to lock in a double-underhook to set up her trademark backbreaker. Emma has other ideas, however, and sneakily bites at an exposed section of her opponent's arm, just enough to hurt. Kelsey cries out, immediately releasing the hold, and Emma gets in a quick clawing of the eyes, profiting from the referee being out of position.
Axel Reid: Did Emma Carlisle just BITE Kelsey Spencer?
Ruby Parvati: Yup...and it had to hurt! Smart move, though...it got her back into this match!
Her advantage now well and truly lost, Kelsey can do little but flail in pain as Emma picks her up for her pump-handle fallaway slam!
Axel Reid: Kelsey Spencer is living a WAKING NIGHTMARE!
Rather than go for the pin, however, Emma brings her dazed opponent back to her feet and throws her out of the ring, motioning to her Warchild before pointing to the announce table. Joanna promptly begins to make her way around, scattering Axel and Ruby as Emma grabs Kelsey in a back-to-back backbreaker position. Then, as the commentators look on in horror, Joanna gets up on the table, where she stands, smirking down at Emma. Shields runs over to try and deter her, but the Warchild pays him no mind.
Axel Reid: What?! What is going on here?!
A moment later, that question is answered, as Emma launches the Bellis Street Socialite forward in a facebuster. As Kelsey hurtles forward, Joanna then jumps off the table, grabbing her head in a reverse jumping cutter that puts the redhead THROUGH the announce table!
Axel Reid: SWEET CHRISTMAS!!
As the announcers check the damage to their desk, and Kelsey, Emma helps Joanna to her feet, and the two ChaosSworn briefly embrace, before Emma rolls back into the ring. Joanna then makes her way back to her corner, whereupon both women patiently wait out the referee's count – which is already at FOUR!
FIVE!
SIX!
SEVEN!
The two announcers remain speechless, examining the wreckage in front of them, as the referee counts his way towards the inevitable.
EIGHT!
NINE!
TEN!
The two ChaosSworn members exchange a smold
Jerry Heisenberg: Ladies and gentlemen, the winners of this match via count-out...the team of The Nihilist and The Warchild...CHAOS! SWOOOOORRRRNNNN!!!
Emma and Joanna have their hands raised, The Nihilist looking cold and calculating while The Warchild sports a manic expression. All the while, by the announce table, Kelsey Spencer is tended to by EMTs, as Axel Reid stammers:
Axel Reid: Well, that was certainly a...dominant performance from the ChaosSworn in their first outing as a team, and...and I'm not sure Kelsey Spencer's alive..
Ruby Parvati: Forget Kelsey – what about our table?! Where are we supposed to sit the rest of the night?!
It is on this pertinent, if slightly out-of-place remark that the feed cuts to elsewhere in the arena.
