Tristan Ambrose vs. Talon
The scene returns to Axel Reid and Ruby Parvati at ringside.
Ruby Parvati: Well Ry-Ry is going to get better. He was so close to becoming the World Visionary Champion he could practically taste it!
Axel Reid: Let's face it, this rivalry between Casanova English and Ryder Blade is far, far from over. But we have no idea what to expect after their amazing battle at Fate of the Gods II… just like we have no idea what to expect between Emevlas Stastias and Reya Serra at Breakthrough 48!
Ruby Parvati: Two women will fight… one will win. That’s about it, really.
Axel Reid: Boy do you sound enthralled…
Ruby Parvati: I’m more interested in seeing who else gets into the Quest For The Case Match at Heatstroke! Katalina Star was the first entrant, and after tonight we now have Rebecca Saint and Gwendolyn Massey going after the briefcase!
Axel Reid: That contest should be one to remember…
Axel is swiftly interrupted by the lights going out in the arena. A bell is heard as the riff from Metallica’s “For Whom The Bell Tolls” blasts throughout the arena. The lights starts to flicker a dark red color, matching the beat of the bass . Soon, a hooded Tristan Ambrose steps out from the curtain with Alexander in tow, as they stand on the stage, the crowd singing along to the classic song.
Axel Reid: And speaking of things to remember… these two managed to get Mimi Mai Saint back with Tyron Bickerton earlier tonight.
Ruby Parvati: It was so sweet and thoughtful of them! How can you NOT condone that?
Axel Reid: There must be an ulterior motive…
Ruby Parvati: You and your conspiracies! Haven’t you heard of basic human decency?
Walking down the ramp, Tristan hops up on the apron. He enters through the middle rope, walking to the middle of the ring and throwing his hands up, taunting as the crowd continues to sing the song's chorus.
Jerry Heisenberg: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, being accompanied by his manager Alexander Cappotelli, hailing from Seattle, Washington… standing at 5’11” and weighing in at 205lbs… TRISTAN AMBROSE!!!
Axel Reid: I’ve heard of anger and envy though, which is what Tristan has inside him after Fate of the Gods II. Truth be told, he did earn his one-on-one match against Katie Moicelle for the Zero Gravity Championship… but somehow it was Ace Watson who managed to get into the match and stole the title from both of them.
Ruby Parvati: He never stole it! He earned it, plain and simple! That’s jealousy coming through your words, Axel!
Axel Reid: If I’m jealous, then Tristan is a ticking time-bomb. I mean he was looking at Tyron’s I4NI Championship earlier tonight… but I know for a fact he still wants to become the Zero Gravity Champion.
The opening organs of "Dancing Mad" by The Black Mages starts up forebodingly as the arena quiets and the lights dim. Crimson and gold lights mix and swirl about the arena interior, finally focusing on the stage to create a fiery hue centered at the middle of the stage. As the theme picks up in strength, the tall, red-maned form of Talon walks out onto the stage, her lower face covered by a mask, garbed in an oxblood-colored sleeveless trench. At her back stands the Silent Destroyer, Sentinel, thick arms folded across his broad chest.
Axel Reid: Speaking of someone else who reportedly wants to be the Zero Gravity Champion…
Ruby Parvati: Imagine her winning that title? She’d destroy everyone!
The song's haunting melodies continue as the pair walk down the ramp, paying absolutely no mind to the fans calling out or reaching in their direction. When they reach the steps, Sentinel takes Talon's hand and leads her up onto the apron. The Angel of Sin cartwheels into a handstand position, hooking her legs about the top rope so that she's literally hanging upside down, whereupon Sentinel steps into her and the two share a fiery kiss. Alexander casually wipes his mouth at this sight, enjoying the view as Tristan remains focused on his task.
Jerry Heisenberg: And his opponent… being accompanied by her manager Sentinel, hailing from Valley Forge, Tennessee… standing at 6’1” and weighing in at 180lbs… “The Horsewomen’s Fury”, TALON!!!
Righting herself, Talon enters the ring and strides to the center of the ring, arching her back and reaching behind her as Sentinel, who enters with her, draws the trench from her body. Talon backs into him, her arms reaching up to wrap around his neck as she stares coldly out at the arena's population. As with the stage, the crimson and gold lights all center upon the pair during these moments, fading out along with the music as Sentinel leaves the ring and stands in his lady's corner while Talon remands herself to that very corner, pacing and glaring while awaiting the bell to toll.
Axel Reid: According to her, Katie Moicelle showed her disrespect, and she promptly made a vow to take the Zero Gravity Championship away from her. But with Katie’s championship now being in the hands of Ace Watson, I don’t think that has changed her mission. I think she still wants to get her hands on Katie, then move on to targeting Ace herself. And if she can win this match, she could be in with a chance of doing both.
Ruby Parvati: I’ve just noticed… she’s taller than Tristan! That has to play with his mind!
Axel Reid: Feeling emasculated, perhaps, is that what you’re saying?
Ruby Parvati: Well… with Sentinel being out there too… every man feels that way in comparison!
Alexander occupies the opposite side of the ring, staying well clear of the silent but deadly Sentinel. Talon has a calm yet lethal expression on her face, eyeing Tristan as the latter rotates his arms in preparation. Soon the referee, smaller and thinner than both of these competitors, signals for the bell.
DING DING DING!
Talon elegantly pushes herself out of the corner, only to place her hands up and side-step towards Ambrose. Alexander warns Tristan about her striking abilities as Sentinel remains silent, keeping his arms folded at his broad chest as Talon advances. Tristan smoothes his hair over and then slides out of the corner, moving around in a lightly-squatted position.
Axel Reid: Both competitors analysing the other here, but who will take the risk first?
After several moments of caution, it’s Talon who goes for the kill. She switches to a Muay-Thai stance and lays out a kick towards Ambrose, who only just deflects the strike. However, Talon’s speed is something he hasn’t experienced, and she is able to recover and spin towards him with a hard elbow. Tristan takes the blow to the side of his head, and after feeling the connection, Talon immediately charges in and hits several knees to Tristan’s stomach. He gets pinned against the ropes, with Talon laying in knee after knee. However, the referee has to step once Tristan ducks through the ropes, causing a break that Talon eerily obeys.
Axel Reid: It’s scary how she’s able to change her attitude in an instant. Moments ago she was pummelling Tristan with knees… now she’s calm and waiting for Tristan to… well…
Ruby Parvati: Grow a set?
Axel Reid: If you want to put it like that…
Talon’s Muay-Thai stance comes into play again, yet Ambrose is a lot more animated. He moves around with more concentration, barely listening to Alexander telling him to avoid her legs. Suddenly, Tristan leaps into action for a flying forearm… yet Talon side-steps and knocks Tristan onto his knees with a retaliatory clothesline to the back of his neck!
Ruby Parvati: There’s that viciousness from Fury! She is incredibly scary, Axel…
Axel Reid: If not for her size and appearance, then definitely for her attitude.
Residing on his knees, Tristan nails Talon in the abdomen with forearms as she goes after him. The prime Zero Gravity contender then hops up onto his feet and jumps up again, rotating his body for a Calf Kick into Talon’s head!
Axel Reid: This is what Tristan is known for, his ruthless strikes and agility. It’s why he’s become a champion everywhere he’s been.
Shaking off the blow, Talon gets back to her feet, yet Ambrose hurriedly grabs her from behind for a rolling Russian Leg Sweep. He rolls through and resides on his knees, whereby he spins into a standing position and, with little thinking time, flips into the air and lands on Fury for a Rolling Senton! Alexander applauds, but Tristan doesn’t go for the cover. Instead, he stomps on Talon’s stomach, forcing her to sit up. As she does so, gritting her teeth vehemently, Tristan hits the ropes and slides towards her, clubbing her in the face with his forearm that drives her head into the canvas!
Axel Reid: It appears Tristan is unleashing his violent side! All of that pent-up frustration after Fate of the Gods is beginning to come out against someone who constantly has anger in her system.
Ruby Parvati: Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Tristan covers Talon with a leg hooked…
ONE!
TWO!
Talon kicks out!
Alexander exhales, yet he recovers to tell Ambrose to stay on her. Tristan adjusts his tights and then complies with his manager, bringing Talon up and giving her a Butterfly Suplex. But before he can turn it into the Ambrose Special, Fury quickly headbutts Ambrose from the ground, flips him over and mounts him herself, striking him with forearms and punches.
Ruby Parvati: Yeah, it was a bad thing to do…
Axel Reid: The switch is been turned on, and Talon is not going to let up until she knows she has Ambrose under control.
After getting off Tristan, Fury pulls him up and hooks in a Fisherman, which leads to a surprising Spinning Fisherman Suplex!
Axel Reid: Look at that strength! Her ability to do that to any man near her size is astounding!
There is no cover after this move though, something Sentinel does not react to visually. He allows his wife to do as she pleases, watching her pull Tristan up and then give him a Uranage!
Ruby Parvati: If this woman becomes Zero Gravity Champion, no one is taking it from her!
Axel Reid: I wouldn’t say no one… but she is a deadly foe that demands attention and strategy.
Talon covers Ambrose with her arm pressed on the side of his neck…
ONE!
TWO!
Ambrose throws his arm up, breaking the cover and irritating Fury.
Talon returns to a standing position and stomps on Tristan’s arm, causing Ambrose to feel it and tuck it against his body. Alexander wipes his brow as Talon takes hold of the arm, wrenching it and twisting it over before booting the shoulder. Ambrose once again keeps it against his side, feeling his shoulder before Talon knees him in the face!
Ruby Parvati: Tristan is in a world of trouble now!
Axel Reid: This is what Talon excels at, methodically beating down her opponents and giving them hell.
With another boot to the arm, Talon grabs a hold of it and pulls Tristan to his feet. She wrenches the arm a second time, keeping a hold of it as she backs up to the corner and begins to scale the ropes. Once she reaches the top rope, the crowd start to buzz, anticipating a risky move from Fury. Using her incredible balance, she walks along the top rope, using Ambrose as support with his arm. Eventually, she jumps off and torques Tristan’s arm with a rapid Arm Drag, sending her opponent across the ring and towards the opposing corner!
Ruby Parvati: That arm will be in a sling if she continues ripping away at it!
Axel Reid: That seems to be her plan. Eliminate the arm and take out half of Ambrose’s arsenal.
Sentinel unfolds his arms and leaves them at his side, proudly acknowledging his wife as she walks over to Tristan and chokes him with her boot against the bottom corner. However, the referee takes a stand again, counting her down until she moves away. Alexander rushes around the ring to talk with Tristan, giving him an instruction that he has to abide by.
Axel Reid: Now you can see the different emotions of their managers. Alexander is getting concerned, whereas Sentinel is just… standing there…
As Talon approaches again, Tristan kicks out with desperation at her knee. The Horsewoman stumbles backwards, briefly feeling her knee before she approaches him again. But by this time Tristan has valiantly pulled himself up, laying out another kick that hits Fury in the stomach. Fighting for survival, Tristan musters the strength to ignore the pain in his arm, using it to help him hook Talon into a T-Bone Suplex that sees her getting thrown against the turnbuckle pads upside-down!
Ruby Parvati: Wow! That was a deadly move from Tristan!
Axel Reid: Did you see the way Talon landed on her neck?
With Talon feeling her neck in discomfort, Tristan shakes his damaged arm to get some feeling back. An aggressive look appears in his eyes, focused on Talon as he goes after her grounded body. Sentinel glares at Tristan, yet he ignores the silent behemoth, hoisting Talon up and onto his shoulders for a Powerbomb into the corner!
Axel Reid: This is like a battle on who can be the most ruthless!
Somehow, Talon remains on her knees after the Powerbomb, growling through the pain as she tries to summon a counter-attack. Unfortunately, Ambrose’s adrenaline is making him operate faster, and it is his very adrenaline that helps him bring Talon up and give her the Doomsday Pumphandle Neckbreaker!
Ruby Parvati: Sentinel looked like he was about to tear Tristan’s head off! He still might!
Tristan covers Talon as the crowd count along…
ONE!
TWO!
THR-- NOOOO!
Talon only just kicks out!
Axel Reid: Talon is still in this match! Her neck has taken a beating, but Ambrose’s arm is still worse for wear!
Ambrose studies Talon from his knees, keeping his arm pressed against his side to aid with the recovery process. He looks over at Alexander, who nervously gestures some kind of move with his hands. The flustered manager and lawyer wipes his brow again, watching anxiously as Tristan goes towards the corner.
Axel Reid: Ambrose is in control, but I’m not sure what he’s going for here.
Once he is balanced on the top, Ambrose waits for Talon to stand. As she manages to do so, he leaps off with a flying forearm… yet Talon counters the attack and grabs Tristan’s arm for a Kimura Lock!
Ruby Parvati: Talon blocked it, and she has Ambrose’s arm wrapped, ready to snap!
Tristan screams out as indescribable pain shoots through his shoulder, being unable to loosen the grip Talon has on him. Fury wrenches the arm, wanting to hear Tristan submit. But as she steps to the side, as if telegraphing her motive to go to the ground, Ambrose kicks out at her knee and uses his other forearm to snap her head to the side! Talon releases the lock, dealing with her neck again until Ambrose catches her with a Roundhouse Kick!
Axel Reid: Ambrose wouldn’t give up, and now Talon is back down again!
Ruby Parvati: Or is she?!
Being incredibly persistent, Talon yells out and forces herself back to her feet. The fatigued Ambrose is still dealing with his arm, clutching it as he deals with the agony it’s creating. Talon goes for a Spinning Kick… but Ambrose ducks at the last moment! From there, Ambrose hurriedly ducks his head between her legs from behind and lifts her up, latching onto her arms until she is in an upside-down position! That’s when he plants her onto her neck with THE LAST WORD, generating an assortment of boos from the crowd!
Axel Reid: The Last Word! Talon just got the Last Word from Ambrose!
Alexander bashes his hands onto the apron rapidly, wanting Tristan to cover her faster. He does and hooks the leg, seeing the referee come over for the count…
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!!!
DING DING DING!!!
Axel Reid: Tristan Ambrose defeats Talon in a brutal affair! What a solid battle that was!
Ruby Parvati: Now that’s what I call an impressive win… but I know for a fact Talon will be angrier than ever the next time we see her!
Alexander joins Tristan in the ring and celebrates, watching as the referee raises his client’s good arm to authenticate the victory. Sentinel, not caring at all, then enters the ring, which prompts Tristan and Alexander to immediately retreat and get out of dodge. The towering, Silent Destroyer watches them leave stoically, tensing his muscles a moment before he looks down at Talon and softly tends to her.
Jerry Heisenberg: Here is your winner… TRISTAN AMBROSE!!!
Axel Reid: Well if there was any doubt that Tristan wanted to win this match to stake his claim at the Zero Gravity Championship, you just witnessed it first-hand. But Talon gave him a hell of a beating on the way there.
Ruby Parvati: First Datura, now Tristan… Fury’s hit list is ever-growing.
Talon, looking aggravated, pushes herself up as Sentinel remains by her side. He lightly caresses her cheek, yet all she can do is punch the canvas and growl at another defeat before the scene changes.
