Fatal Four Way Match
Gwendolyn Massey vs. Kincaid vs. Winter Pine vs. Heath Williams
Gwendolyn Massey vs. Kincaid vs. Winter Pine vs. Heath Williams
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!
Ruby Parvarti: Here she is! The Lady Joker!
Axel Reid: Oh man, she’s been on a tear as of late!
The lights begin to flicker on and off all around the arena before completely engulfing the VoW Universe in nothing but darkness. Static is heard coming from the arena speakers following the drums. The lights flicker to the beat of the instruments as the big screen follows suit, revealing a silhouette of a female with her hair hiding her facial features and a hood over her head.
Dun Dun – Dun Dun - Dun Dun Dun
Gwendolyn Massey’s uniquely terrifying entrance proceeds, the fans cheering as she points towards the squared circle, mouthing the words “That’s MY asylum!”. She carries on before coming to a set of fans, each with their own Gwendolyn merchandise + signs, the Warden herself giving a nod of approval.
Jerry Heisenberg: Ladies and gentlemen, making her way to the ring at this time! Hailing from San Francisco, CA! She is none other than the Lady Joker herself - GWENDOLYN MASSEY!!!
She enters the ring and her theme fades out, Queen’s “I Want It All” taking over.
“I Want It All!
I Want It All!
I Want It All!
And I Want It Now!”
The opening guitar to Queens "I Want It All" booms over the loudspeakers as a half dozen overhead lights all converge on the stage. From the back, Alex Kincaid steps onto the ramp as the voice of Freddy Mercury booms through the arena. He bounces up and down, loosening himself up and taking in the full scope of the arena. From behind him, his wife and manager Alyssa makes her way out and watches her husband. He gives her a tiny nod and the two of them head toward the ring.
Jerry Heisenberg: Making his way to the ring, accompanied by his wife, Alyssa and weighing in at 250 pounds....from Bearing, Alberta...KIINCAIIID!
Axel Reid: What a roller coaster ride Kincaid’s been on the last year, he has all the potential to be something amazing here in VoW but there just always seems to be some sort of obstacle in front of him! Now, in the form of Valquist!
Ruby Parvarti: That could be a positive thing though, as unfond of them both as I am, screentime with Valquist will definitely score Kincaid some points with management.
By this time, they've made it to the base of the ring. Alyssa walks up to the apron and takes a seat on the middle rope to let him in. He moves to the middle of the ring while she takes up position at ringside. He closes his eyes as the house lights come back up, taking a deep breath and moving back to the corner to await the bell.
“Big Bad Wolf” by In This Moment starts up, blaring through the sound system. Winter Pine emerges from behind the curtain, striding down the ramp with a smile probably caused by the reminiscence of her match with Stacy Jones at Fate of the Gods.
Jerry Heisenberg: Now approaching the ring, weighing in at 158 pounds, from St. Paul, Minnesota...the First Lady of Sin, WIIIINTEERRR PINEEE!
Ruby Parvarti: My second pick of victors for this one!
Axel Reid: Why?
Ruby Parvarti: Because I like winners, Reid and that’s exactly what Gwen and Winter are! WINNERS! W-I-N-N-E-R-S!
Axel Reid: So, Heath and Kincaid are-
Ruby Parvarti: LOSERS, Reid! God damn losers!
Winter enters the ring, as Devilskin’s “Little Pills” begins. The fans rise to their feet with a standing ovation, as Heath Williams appears with the warhammer in hand and his son, Ryan to his right.
Ruby Parvarti: Here’s the biggest loser of them all!
Jerry Heisenberg: Now, accompanied by his son Ryan Gallagher, weighing in at 215 pounds, reigning from Auckland, New Zealand...He is the Hardcore Hero, HEEEEAAAATH WILLIIIAAAAMS!
Heath makes way down the ramp, Ryan in tow, they both stop at the bottom as Heath starts going berserk, slamming the head of the hammer against the ring post over and over again. Ryan finds a spot ringside as Heath gets into the ring, handing his hammer to the official.
Ruby Parvarti: Freakin’ lunatic.
Axel Reid: I think he’s just getting started!
DING DING DING!
Heath and Gwen waste no time, both having the same thoughts of going for Winter first. Heath shoves Gwen out of the way and starts hammering at Winter’s midsection. Gwen’s clearly not a fan of this action and performs a swift rolling koppu, knocking Heath in the chin and sending him backwards straight into Kincaid, who follows up with a headbutt just before nailing a DDT. Kincaid attempts the early cover…
ONE!
Gwen breaks it up without even breaking a sweat.
Ruby Parvarti: Yeah! You go girl!
Gwen and Kincaid rise to their feet, Kincaid’s stature a considerable amount larger than hers. Before either participant can make a strike, Gwen’s nailed with a spear from Winter and is sent spiralling over the top rope. Winter turns, Kincaid’s guard already raised. Winter raises hers, inching in closer towards him. She tries for a spinning backfist but Kincaid blocks with a well placed forearm, before taking hold of Winters underarm for leverage and sending several knees into her stomach. He sizes up for a double underhook suplex just as Heath starts to show some life, pushing himself up from the canvas and onto his knees. The suplex connects but the second Kincaid stands, Heath brings a hand in through the gap in between Kincaid’s thighs and pulls, resulting in a roll-up.
Axel Reid: Textbook style of an opportunist! Will it prevail?!
ONE!
TW-
Axel Reid: No! Kincaid won’t be taken down that easily!
Ruby Parvarti: Thankfully...
Due to Kincaid’s strength, he easily forces himself out of the predicament at one and a half. Both men stand and immediately participate in a lock of arms, a test of strength. Kincaid quickly gains the upper hand, forcing Heath back into the corner but The Hardcore Hero has other plans and uses a firm right leg to pry himself apart from Kincaid’s grip. The plan succeeds and he follows up with a series of jabs and hooks before sending a shin into Kincaid’s outer thigh, knocking him to one knee. Heath goes for a second and then a third but before he can muster up a fourth, Gwen’s back in the ring and fierce as ever with no haste in performing her “One in the Chamber” technique. She applies the pressure, an expression of frustration from Heath as he can’t seem to figure out an escape route.
Ruby Parvarti: He’s gonna tap, Reid! Look at him!
However, prayers are answered when Kincaid reaches over with a fist straight into Gwen’s ribs, leaving her with no choice but to let go of the hold. Heath rolls his arm around, trying to gain back some feeling when Kincaid grabs the sore arm and yanks him to his feet before a stern european uppercut. He does this twice more before going for the spinebuster but Gwen knocks both men down with a sudden double knee strike. She rushes over to Kincaid, locking in a kimura from side mount positioning.
Ruby Parvarti: Gwen’s on a roll with these submissions!
Axel Reid: She has a knack for that!
Ruby Parvarti: She’s gonna make the big guy tap!
Kincaid struggles, doing his best to escape but Gwen’s got a special touch with these submissions of hers, forcing even the toughest of opponents to battle for freedom. Kincaid manages to free his right arm from underneath Gwen’s body and takes a hold of her leg, flipping her over onto her back and going for the cover.
Axel Reid: Oooh, the strength from Kincaid!
ONE!
Gwen kicks out just before Winter gets back in the action as she hits Kincaid with a bicycle kick right after he gets to his feet.
Gwen rolls over and climbs to her feet, Winter staring with cruel intent. The two trade strikes, back and forth, back and forth until Winter decides on a dropkick, that fails miserably as Gwen steps out of the way. Gwen takes Winter’s arm and pulls her back up to her feet before hitting a short arm clothesline, another two to follow. She brings Winter up for a final time and nails the snap suplex with a cover.
ONE!
TWO!
Winter kicks out.
Ruby Parvarti: One of these gals are gonna take out the win! Who will it be?!
Gwen stands and takes several steps back over to the corner, patiently waiting for Winter to get up. After a few moments, she does so and turns, Gwen taking this as the sign to dart her way over, a spear in mind.
Ruby Parvarti: The Killing Joke! The Killing Joke!
However, Heath intercepts, takes a hold of Gwen’s skull and smashing it against the canvas with a thunderous one handed bulldog.
Axel Reid: Just like that the tables are turned!
Ruby Parvarti: No! That isn’t fair!
Not stopping there and eager for the momentum to keep rolling, Heath kips back up onto his feet before launching himself towards Winter and pulling her into a snap suplex that connects, shaking the mat. As he turns, he’s met from an irish whip into the corner by Kincaid, he hits the padding and Kincaid sprints towards him with full force but with ring awareness, Heath ducks out of the way. With Kincaid now in his former position, Heath takes a few steps back before attempting a big boot but Kincaid tilts his head just in the knick of time as Heath’s leg comes mere inches away from his skull. Kincaid takes a hold of Heath’s calf and launches him aback, Heath tumbling over backwards however rolling back onto his feet. He back into the opposite corner to Kincaid as Gwen finds her footing and stumbles into the corner of the same side before Winter does the same opposite her.
Axel Reid: All four competitors are standing and ready to fight!
Ruby Parvarti: Come on Gwen, come on Winter! Show these doofuses how a true victor looks!
Heath looks at Winter, Winter looks at Gwen, Gwen looks at Heath before glancing over at Kincaid, who glances over at Winter, who glances over at Heath. Gwen starts the rumble first, sprinting over to Winter with several strikes before taking her by the neck and tossing her over towards Kincaid, who knocks her away with a vicious shoulder block. Using this as a distraction, Gwen runs over with the intent of making a hit but Kincaid reads her movement and performs a dropkick, sending the Lady Joker toppling over Winter’s unconscious body.
Ruby Parvarti: No! The momentum was all Gwen’s!
Axel Reid: After that thunderous shoulder block followed by that stunning drop kick, I completely disagree!
Heath wastes no more time and the minute Kincaid rises and turns he’s met with a fatal spear. Heath’s quick to get back to his feet, taunting all three of his opponents and hyping up the crowd with strong success. Winter starts to show some life and Heath takes that as an opportunity, pulling her to her feet and getting ready to nail the Frozen Over.
Axel Reid: Looks like Heath’s got this one! It’s all over!
Ruby Parvarti: NO! NO FREAKING WAY!
“Reminded” By Drowning Pool starts to play and immediately, the attitude of the audience has transitioned to that of jeers and displeasure. Heath drops Winter aside and exits the ring, Ryan tries to stop him but it’s no use as the minute the I4NI Champion appears, Heath darts straight for him. He meets Tyron at the top of the ramp, who tries to ram the title into Heath’s skull but the Hardcore Hero dodges the attack and sends a hard kick right into Tyron’s midsection.
Ruby Parvarti: Come on, Tyron! Teach this idiot a lesson!
Axel Reid: No! Heath needs to get back into the ring! Look, Winter’s going for the fall on Kincaid!
ONE!
TWO!
Kincaid lifts a shoulder after having enough time to make a slight recovery.
Winter rolls over onto her back with a huff and a sigh, followed by a few punches against the canvas.
Heath tries for a second Frozen Over, this time on Tyron but it’s no use, Tyron’s fresh and in currently in prime condition so he’s able to make the reversal, hitting a european uppercut that sends Heath staggering back into the minitron. Tyron takes several steps over to him and and takes hold, spinning him around and walking backwards with him over to the side of the stage.
Axel Reid: Uh oh..what’s Bickerton got in mind?
Ruby Parvarti: Pain, Axel! PAIN!
Tyron Bickerton: WHEN WILL YOU LEARN, WILLIAMS?! HUH?! THE REQUIEM’S OVER! OUR FRIENDSHIP IS OVER! OUR FREAKING BROTHERHOOD IS OVER!
Jolting backwards, both men collide with the concrete due to an insane russian legsweep.
Ruby Parvarti: OH MY GOD! I’ve never seen a russian legsweep used in such a badass way before!
Axel Reid: That was SICK! How many times is Bickerton going to try and end Heath’s career?!
Ruby Parvarti: As many times as it takes for him to succeed, Reid! Wait, hey, look at the ring!
Winter, Kincaid and Gwen are all climbing to their feet, the first to succeed being Winter, followed by Gwen. Kincaid’s still on his knees as Winter goes over and tries for a swinging neckbreaker, however to no avail as Kincaid shoves her into the ring ropes, right before being met by The Killing Joke from Gwen.
Ruby Parvarti: The second spear Kincaid’s been hit with tonight!
Winter bounces back but is nailed by the Remedy of Chaos. Gwen goes for the cover…
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!!!!!!!
Ruby Parvarti: Gwen’s done it! Gwen destroyed the odds and won the fatal four way!
Axel Reid: Gwendolyn Massey, the Warden of the Asylum and a force to be reckoned with!
Ruby Parvarti: That’s for sure!
Jerry Heisenberg: Here is your winner, the Lady Joker Herself...GWEEEENDOLYYYNNN MAAASSEEYYYY!!!
Gwen stands, raising her arms in triumph with the audience backing her. She looks over at the top of the ramp as the EMTs come from backstage, checking on Heath and Tyron just before the scene goes to another commercial.
