We open to the VoW newsroom where News Reporter, Joey Nitro can be seen sitting behind his desk. He looks up into the camera with a smile across his face as a graphic displaying his name appears at the bottom of the screen.
Joey Nitro
Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the second edition of Nitro News with me, Joey Nitro. Tonight’s episode will cover the stories that took place at Breakthrough edition twenty-eight, so let’s not waste any more time and get straight in...
The camera pans to the right a little and the first graphic that appears depicts stills of Ziu Zhong, Casanova English, Stacy Jones, Brett Carson, Seth Iser and Valquist with the VoW World Visionary Championship below them.
Joey Nitro
Our biggest news story this evening came courtesy of our Director of Wrestling Operations, Ryan Omega who would inform World Champion, Ziu Zhong of the challenge that awaits him come Heatstroke. That challenge comes in the form of VoW’s own version of the Championship Chamber match that yours truly, created during my tenure as NWA Owner. The match has a thirty minute time limit, a steel cage will surround the ring and two competitors will start the match, every five minutes a new competitor will join the match and this will continue until all six competitors are in the match. Any competitor who gains a successful pinfall or submission will be the interim champion and whoever picks up the final successful pinfall or submission before the time limit expires, they will be declared the World Visionary Champion. As for the competitors? Well of course there is the current World Champion, Ziu Zhong, former World Champion, Casanova English, former Xcel Champions, Stacy Jones and Brett Carson as well as VoW legends, Seth Iser and Valquist...this truly is VoW’s biggest World Championship match to date and I’m sure that I’m not the only one looking forward to it, best of luck to all six involved...

Nitro moves the top piece of paper over to one side as the graphic changes to a still of Lexi Pearl holding the Zero Gravity Championship.
Joey Nitro
Our second top story this evening is that after only just capturing the gold at Fate Of The Gods, Patrick Jones failed to retain his Zero Gravity Championship against Lexi Pearl in what was an amazing back and forth contest that could have gone either way. PJ gave Pearl everything he had, but unfortunately for him, it wasn’t enough to stop the Mistress of Mayhem from walking out with the gold...
The graphic then changes to one depicting Ryder Blade, Steve Herring and Stuart Fishbauch celebrating in the ring together.
Joey Nitro
In our Main Event we saw a Six Person Tag Team contest that saw Xcel Champion, Ryder Blade, Steve Herring and Stuart Fishbauch reign supreme over the team of Stacy Jones, Katie Moicelle and Reya Serra. The women started off the match on the front foot, barely allowing their opponents to even breathe, however things went downhill after Fishbauch “hacked” the entire arena before he was taken out of the match along with Moicelle leaving it down to Blade and Herring against Jones and Serra. Blade and Herring would get the victory after a well executed double team move on Jones followed by a double pin, that Serra was unable to break up in time...
Once again the graphic changes depicting stills of Tyler Storm and Andrew Charles Evans celebrating on two separate occasions.
Joey Nitro
The Quest For The Case match at Heatstroke just keeps getting better and better as both Tyler Storm and Andrew Charles Evans secured their slots in the match after winning qualifying matches. Storm, in his return match to VoW would knock off Yeshua and Dathyn to get himself into the match whilst Evans defeated Light to qualify...
Nitro flicks through his papers again as the graphic changes again to a still of the Canadian flag and Casanova English standing in front of it.
Joey Nitro
In the match deemed the Battle of Toronto between natives, Casanova English and Seifer Black...it was the Modern Day Messiah who would come out on top, but for a few moments, The Archangel along with every one watching, thought he had managed to topple the leader of The Orphanage. That was how close this contest was, it was certainly Pay-Per-View worthy and as I mentioned earlier, there was a point where Black nailed English with the Fade To Black and got the three, however the referee would then notice that English managed to get his foot on the rope and after that, English would capitalize and come out with the victory...
The graphic then changes to a still of “The Punisher” Matthew Robinson and Seifer Black staring at one another.
Joey Nitro
After Black’s unfortunate loss to English, a message for Black played on the titantron from nemesis, “The Punisher” Matthew Robinson. It was only till near the end of the message that we found out that it was a pre-recorded one when Robinson would slither his way into the ring behind an oblivious Black before he would then drop him with a Total Punishment. Robinson would then proceed to get ready to put Black out of action with his vicious Black Out Kick, however fortunately for Black and all his fans, he was interrupted by Ryan Omega who would announce that the two men will face at Heatstroke. Omega would then proceed to have Robinson arrested after he had seemingly pushed Theodore Thompson, who was bound to a wheelchair, in front of an oncoming lorry...
Nitro shuffles through his papers and the graphic changes to Ace Watson wearing a mask.
Joey Nitro
In other news now, first of all, Beck Ramsey and Ace Watson battled one another in a reverse mask versus mask match. Traditionally in a mask versus mask match, which is also traditionally between Luchadores, the loser would have to unmask themselves...however in this match...the loser had to put a mask on and unfortunately for Watson, he was the one who has had to cover up his face...
Again the graphic changes and this time it shows a still of Katie Moicelle looking down at a fallen Tayla Williams with Stacy Jones in the background.
Joey Nitro
The match is now official, at Heatstroke, Katie Moicelle will face the manager and fiance of her teacher, Stacy Jones...Tayla Williams. In an interesting twist on this story is the fact that Jones herself will in fact be the special guest referee for the match. Will the former Xcel Champion be able to call the match down the middle? And depending on the outcome, how will it affect her when she goes into the biggest match of her career later that same evening?
The graphic changes to one depicting Big Boss Hogg and Beck Ramsey staring at one another.
Joey Nitro
After an unusual backstage encounter between Big Boss Hogg and Beck Ramsey, the two are now set to do battle against one another in a First Blood match. These two men both have very different styles and with Hogg being the much bigger, stronger man, you would think he would have the advantage going into a match like this, but you should never count out Ramsey, especially considering this match was Ramsey’s idea in the first place...
Nitro shuffles through his papers again as the graphic changes to one depicting Matt Connors and Drake Taylor backstage.
Joey Nitro
For a while now, the whereabouts of “The Wolf” Chase Michaels has been unknown to the VoW universe...and at Breakthrough twenty-eight we discovered that we aren’t the only ones looking for Michaels. Just who are Matt Connors and Drake Taylor, and what exactly do they want with the Lone Wolf?
The graphic again changes and this time it shows Seth Iser.
Joey Nitro
VoW veteran, Seth Iser has vowed to destroy Stacy Jones to make sure she doesn’t end up walking out of Heatstroke as the new World Visionary Champion. This all stems back to Jones’ first reign as Xcel Champion and when she was at war with Brett Carson. Jones would state on social media site, Twitter that she didn’t care for the Xcel Championship and just wanted to destroy Carson. Jones would later apologize to the VoW Universe, stating that she didn’t mean it and that she felt honoured and privileged to be the Xcel Champion and claimed it was a case of, she said what she said in the heat of the moment. Iser however didn’t believe her apology and was extremely annoyed by what he calls, her blatant disrespect towards the championship. It seems as if the Deity of Destruction hasn’t forgiven or forgotten Jones for what she said and he clearly wants to make sure that the title isn’t held by what he calls a “disrespectful champion”.
Nitro once again shuffles through his papers as the graphic changes to show stills of both Scarlet Flint and Dathyn with microphones up to their mouths.
Joey Nitro
Our penultimate news story this evening is simply that both Dathyn and Scarlet Flint have vowed that they will be the ones to win the Quest For The Case match at Heatstroke. This contest is full of worthy winners and quite frankly, from a non-biased standpoint, I think it’s going to be one of the closest matches to call...
The graphic changes yet again and this time it shows stills of Chris Mosh, Scarlet Flint, Cameron Behringer and Seth Iser. Mosh, Flint and Behringer look happy whilst Iser doesn’t.
Joey Nitro
And finally the rest of Breakthrough news saw Chris Mosh, Scarlet Flint, Cameron Behringer and Seth Iser won their respective singles matches...however Iser wasn’t too pleased as after an unbelievable back and forth contest between him and Cera, the Baddest Bitch would proceed to get herself intentionally disqualified after she struck Iser in the gut with her patented warhammer...
He ruffles through his papers again as the graphic changes to one displaying a sea blue background with the words “VoW Signings/Releases/Injury News”.
Joey Nitro
VoW have signed “The Heart-Throb” Zakk Morris and re-hired Keisha Britely, we at VoW wish the both of you the best of success here. Also, due to constant knee issues, VoW have had to say goodbye to Ian Windermear, we at VoW wish you all the best in your future endeavours. And finally, Stacy Jones will miss the final Breakthrough before Heatstroke as she undergoes eye surgery, there is nothing to say that she will be forced to miss Heatstroke as a result of this and so we hope her surgery goes well and that she has a successful and speedy recovery...
The graphic then disappears and the camera moves back to the left so Nitro is centred.
Joey Nitro
There are no rumours or Twitter wars I’ve seen worth mentioning this time around so that’s all for this edition of Nitro News. I’ve been Joey Nitro and make sure to tune into the next edition for all the news from the final Breakthrough before Heatstroke...goodnight!
The camera then pans away from Nitro before fading to the VoW logo.
