We open to the VoW newsroom where News Reporter, Joey Nitro can be seen sitting behind his desk. He looks up into the camera with a smile across his face as a graphic displaying his name appears at the bottom of the screen.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this special Heatstroke edition of Nitro News, with me, Joey Nitro. Tonight’s episode will be shorter than normal and will not include an interview, however there is a reason for that which I will get too later on. But first, to the latest news pertaining to VoW following their latest Pay-Per-View event...”
The camera pans to the side a little and a still of Valquist and Isis Derrida, both with the World Visionary Championship fastened around their waists with a huge question mark in between them.
“Our first top story of the night is that after one Hell of a Main Event that saw a death-defying leap off the top of the cage, a hack from our esteemed Glitch in the System, a dodgy official, and at first a controversial ending where a definitive winner wasn’t known. When the dust had finally settled and a discussion between the officials had been carried out, Valquist the Valiant was declared the new VoW World Visionary Champion...or was it Isis Derrida? After Valquist had been awarded the title, the lights cut out and when they came back on, Isis Derrida was in Valquist’s place with the World title around his waist, so what does this mean for the VoW World title? Is Valquist the champion? Or is Isis Derrida? I’m sure we’ll find out in the coming weeks...”
The still then changes to a double image depicting the Gang Stars and Cameron Behringer with the Twin City and Zero Gravity Championships.
“Our next top story is again about new champions as Shay McClure and Jermaine Brown, collectively known as the Gang Stars, are two-time Twin City Champions after they knocked off Mattaki Fukushuu of Project Snakehead and Cameron Behringer defeated Lexi Pearl to become the new Zero Gravity Champion. Unfortunately, Pearl was severely injured in the match and will be out of action indefinitely, stay tuned to VoW to get more on her recovery as we get it...”
The still once again changes to show Tyler Storm clutching the Quest for the Case briefcase.
“And our final top story tonight saw Tyler Storm overcome Steve Herring, Andrew Charles Evans, Scarlet Flint, Sophia Halter and Ace Watson to become the second Quest for the Case winner. As everyone knows, the first winner of this match was Ziu Zhong and his reward was a shot at the Zero Gravity Championship, which he would end up winning. The big question now is, what special prize is concealed inside Storm’s briefcase...could it be a shot at the World title? Who knows, but I’m sure I speak for the VoW fans and Storm himself, when I say I cannot wait to see what he has inside...”
The graphic changes again to depict Ryder Blade with his Xcel Championship.
“In other news, Ryder Blade continues to impress and surprise as he successfully defend his Xcel Championship against the Herald of Holiness, Reya Serra. The Blademeister is well and truly on a red hot roll as of late and if he keeps it up, soon people will be asking the question, who can stop the Dude with the ‘Tude?”
The graphic then changes to The Scarecrow revealing himself to be Beck Ramsey.
“In one of the most unexpected surprises of the night, we learned that the Scarecrow who had been stalking Rayne over the past few weeks was none other than Beck Ramsey. Just what exactly does Ramsey want with the Omega’s? Why has he targeted Rayne? Is this just a small part of a much bigger thing? So many questions, but will Ramsey provide us with the answers? Only time will tell...”
Again the graphic changes and it displays an angry bloody Big Boss Hogg.
“Revealing himself as the Scarecrow wasn’t the only controversy that Beck Ramsey was a part of as when he went toe to toe with Big Boss Hogg in their First Blood match, Ramsey actually drew blood first, however due to his quick wit, he managed to avoid the official before then slicing Hogg’s head open, giving the official no choice but to claim the match as a draw. As you can imagine, that didn’t sit well with Hogg and I’m sure that this rivalry is far from over...”
The graphic changes to a three images in one, the first shows Seifer Black celebrating, the second shows a visibly angered Robinson and the third shows an official on a stretcher.
“In what is bound to be the first of many matches between two once brothers turned bitter enemies, after an unbelievable back and forth contest that could have easily stolen the show...Seifer Black managed to get things back on track when he managed to pick up a much needed victory over Matthew Robinson. “The Punisher” wasn’t best pleased with being on the losing end and in a fit of rage, he would drop the official with a “Total Punishment” before following that up with a “Black Out Kick”...”
Changing again, this time the graphic depicts a still of the moment when Tayla Williams threw her engagement ring in Stacy Jones’ face.
“It’s officially over...the relationship between Tayla Williams and Stacy Jones ended after Katie Moicelle successfully defeated Williams, with Jones’ signature New York Rise manoeuvre no less. After Jones counted the three, Moicelle tried her best to save the relationship that Williams claimed she tried to destroy, however it wasn’t enough and Williams would throw her engagement ring into Jones’ face before walking out of VoW forever...”
The graphic changes again to a still that depicts Cera and Dathyn kissing one another.
“Going from the end of a relationship to what could possibly be the beginning of another, in another shock from Heatstroke, the supposed battle between Cera and Dathyn ended up turning into the two kissing one another, embracing and then announcing that Cera has indeed accepted Dathyn’s request to join him. Whatever VoW’s oddest new couple have planned for the future is something that nobody has a clue about apart from Cera and Dathyn themselves, this surely is going to be an interesting pairing to keep an eye on...”
The graphic then changed for the final time and displays Zakk Morris celebrating.
“And finally, the Heatstroke Pre-Show special kicked off with a four way elimination match that saw Zakk Morris outlast Keisha Britely, Yeshua and Patrick Jones to pick up the victory to wet the appetite of the VoW faithful...”
The graphic then disappears and the camera moves back to it’s original position so Nitro is centred.
“And that’s it for the latest VoW news...and to finish off...at Breakthrough edition thirty, I will be making a huge announcement that will change the foundation of Nitro News. So make sure not to miss all the hard-hitting action from the Visionaries at Breakthrough edition thirty, including my huge announcement regarding Nitro News...until then though...I’ve been Joey Nitro, goodnight everybody...”
The camera then slowly pans away from Nitro before the scene fades.
