M. Love: At, let’s switch gears here for a moment. It’s the time of the show were we like to discuss foreign wrestling happenings and news. So, what’s new in that realm, Nicole?
N. Matters: Well, most people have been discussing the whole ordeal with GFP, the shadiness of its owners, it’s re-branding. I’d like to stray away from all that negativity and look at something more positive. Now, in a few weeks America will be introduced to a fascinating wrestler by the name of .PAAK. This news officially broke a couple of days ago; however, it appears that she’s been signed to a American promotion for a number of weeks.
M. Love: Yes yes, this was the young woman you showed me footage of?
N. Matters: That’s right. Japanese wrestling fans have been clamoring over the announcement. .PAAK has been wrestling a number of years in small independent style promotions in Japan. Her style? Well, over course she employs Strong Style. However, she’s pretty technically sound as well.
M. Love: So let me ask you this Nicole, do you really think this .PAAK character is going to work out here in America? I only ask that because, sometimes stars are big in Japan, but then they come over here and flounder.
N. Matters: That’s always a possibility, since Japan and America wrestling are two different beasts. However, I think .PAAK be able to make some kind of an impact here in the states. They say her work ethic is impeccable. So, I think she’ll be just fine.
M. Love: Alright. Now, you said that the young woman has been signed to an American promotion for a couple of weeks now. Do you happen to know which one?
N. Matters: Unless something tragic happens, .PAAK will be wrestling for Visionaries of Wrestling.
M. Love: VoW huh? That’s kind of a bold move, don’t you think? There’s A LOT of stiff competition there.
N. Matters: Is it a bold move? Perhaps it is. However, every wrestler strives to be the best right? .PAAK will be jumping in there with the best of the best. If she can get in there and knock off a couple of people, it would be a good introduction to the Western world, yeah?
M. Love: Yeah, I suppose you’re right.
N. Matters: I can hear the skepticism in your voice, haha. But, like I said, the girl is good. Her first few matches might take an adjustment. However, I think she’ll be able to work through all of it. In my opinion, VoW just got a very good ace.
