Claire's, a downtown Malibu sex shop housing a wide assortment of gadgets and gizmos, outfits and love dolls, all of it catered to lonely individuals, loving couples, and all out perverts. The proprietor of this store being Claire Daniels. Owner, cashier, stock girl, inventory clerk, and on the off time inventor. Up until recently, she was one of Kat's longest last slaves though it all changed the day Katie Moicelle fixed key into lock and removed the raven haired beauty's collar. Now Claire was just running her own sex shop, living in its basement apartment with girlfriend, Katie. The very one who makes her way through the doors and into the surrounding death metal pounding through the speakers.
On the arrival of Katie up to the counter, Claire gives a relatively nervous look. She had texted Katie about something but was purposely vague about the details. Something about needing to ask her in person. Now that the time was here, she was having a hard time finding the words. So, Claire makes her way in around the counter to one of the many rock flyers hanging along the wall. She picks out a yellow one and returns laying it down on the counter between them. On it was a plethora of bands and one animated female in skimpy leather clothing...so potentially featuring no one out of state. Claire smoothes it out and clears her throat a couple times.
"So,"
She pauses again to clear her throat.
"I...got this call from a concert promoter the other day, well...this morning actually."
She laughs a little over her misstep of the facts already.
"He said he could help me make some money. Not...not a lot, but,"
Once more Claire coughs into her hand and smiles.
"Porn."
Katie instantly pops her left eyebrow up. An awkward pause fills the air before the brunette asks, very slowly:
"...porn? Like, with me, or... what?"
"No. No, no. When I mentioned talking with you about it they...they said they don't have couples working together. They did wonder if you were available but I said no. You got a career, you're young, you don't need to start things out with this."
Claire says as she reaches out for Katie's hand giving it a gentle squeeze.
"But...to further answer your question, they said I'd be doing two scenes. A threesome with two girls in one and...a man in the second."
The risen eyebrow slowly droops as a look of obvious disapproval crosses Katie's face.
"Honey... I love you, in every sense of the words, and I'm aware of that path... but I can't help but disapprove your doing this... especially after all we've talked about being equals."
"Twelve hundred dollars."
Claire quickly retorts. She doesn't really know why, but since she's just put it out there...
"Look, I...I do agree wit your disapproval, but...one days work it can actually get us into an apartment."
Not wanting to turn this into an argument, Claire just stops there. But Katie really doesn't want her lover falling back into her previous life.
"But what about my earnings? Does... does me wrestling and holding a title not pay enough?"
"More than I do."
Claire says looking around the vacant store.
"Okay, I'm not over the moon thrilled about it, but you said it yourself, you want us to be equal. I'm not saying this would lead me to a career, but I can pay my equal share with it for a while."
Claire sighs and comes around the counter taking hold of both Katie's hands now.
"Look, one more "no" from you and I won't do it. I'll call them up and say "Thank you, but the space between my legs is Katie Land"."
Claire giggles a little.
"Once I find a way to get you on the VoW payroll, you won't have to worry about this business, y'know?"
Katie strokes her girlfriend's hands with her thumbs as she speaks.
"But... if you... you'd like to contribute... to a new place, then... then I guess I can't... really... stop you."
A quick pause.
"Unless you don't want to."
Claire shakes her head stroking her hand down through Katie's hair.
"Like I said, everything down there and all around is Katie Land. I can tell them no and I'll be okay with it. I just thought I'd ask you first."
So that's that then. But Claire doesn't seem to be finished with either Katie or Katie's hair as she continues running her fingers through.
"Love you, Katie."
