PERSONALITY
Initially, Keelan may give off the vibe of being a harmless, kind-looking young man. That, however, couldn't be any further from the truth. More often than not, Keelan's 197-pound body frame tends to lead people astray and it serves as the perfect shield to cover up his true self.
Inside of that shield, there lies a merciless and malevolent individual. Keelan is hellbent on achieving greatness in his wrestling career and he will stop at absolutely NOTHING to further his career. In order to achieve just that, he is more than willing to manipulate people into thinking he's aligned with them, only to stab them in the back when Keelan feels it would benefit him or his father, Reginald, the most. The list of people Keelan is willing to deceive includes anyone and everyone──with the sole exception of his father──from men, women to even children. When it comes to succeeding, there is barely a line Keelan would not dare to cross. Keelan often appears very systematic in his approach and frequently spends quite a lot of time carefully plotting and planning his next move with his father.
Keelan's vicious nature in its greatest form is perhaps best displayed when he enters a rivalry with a fellow competitor. Should that happen, Keelan will shift his focus solely to tormenting his opponent not only physically but also psychologically. He will relentlessly target and then haunt his prey until they begin to feel uneasy. Since Keelan possesses the skill of playing mind games well, he will attempt to tear his opponents apart with hateful comments on inflammatory subjects as well as vile and disturbing deeds, rendering the opponent psychologically unable to perform at their best level.
“Vengeful” is a word that could very well be used as Keelan's middle name for he is highly vindictive. Should there come circumstances that don't sit well with him, he doesn't forgive and he sure as hell doesn't forget. As mentioned before, he loves to torture his victims but he loathes being on the receiving end of such actions, swearing revenge every time someone somehow manages to get under his skin. This side of Keelan is easily triggered and can be the result of something as little as simply losing a match to someone or it can stem from a more serious issue, such as someone attacking him or his father. In any case, it might in your best interest to make sure Keelan doesn't get too ticked off because he will rest assured go after you.
Keelan shares an extraordinary bond with his father. That bond is built on mutual respect as well as Reginald's love and support for his son. The two are very close and can more often than not be found in each other's company. Keelan will not hesitate to protect his father just as Reginald will not hesitate to protect Keelan, thus they both will sacrifice themselves for the other to make sure they stay safe. Keelan always refers to Reginald as “father” instead of the more casual “daddy” or “dad,” a clear sign of respect towards his “creator”.
Partly due to certain struggles in his early life and partly because of his reputation of being a snake in the grass, Keelan can be described as an introvert. He finds it extremely hard to trust people and he doesn't open up about his personal life to a lot of people──in fact, there only few individuals in Keelan's life with whom he feels comfortable talking about his personal life. Consequently, Keelan is the type of person to keep his emotions from distracting him too much. As a result, his visage typically appears void of any emotion, only maintaining that cold, demonic, blue-eyed glare of his.
If there is one positive thing about the man, it's his dedication to the professional wrestling business. A life-long fan of the sport, Keelan is willing to do anything in his power to make sure he will be recognized as a great wrestler. He frequents gyms and trains rigorously not only to keep himself in the great shape he's in already but also to challenge himself to do better than he did last time. Finally, Keelan loves to learn new things as he believes it will help him stay one step ahead of his opponents.

“The Resistance” - by Skillet
ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION
Unexpectedly, the arena falls victim to consummate darkness, causing the audience to let out a collective gasp. A few moments into the complete blackout, the intro to Skillet's “The Resistance” blasts through the speakers, sending the VoW fans into a state of deep hatred as they begin to become aware of who is about the enter their presence. A bright white light becomes visible in the background as a light cloud of fog emerges onto the stage. The combination of the white backlight and the fog reveals the silhouette of “The Killer of the Black Dawn,” Keelan Lightwood. He stands firmly on top of the stage with his back turned to the ring area. Soon thereafter, his silhouette is joined by that of his father, Reginald, who joins his son on the stage, taking his spot on Keelan's right hand side. A few moments pass until the light fades away──with most of the fog also slowly fading──and the arena is sent into a very brief blackout before the regular lights come on, flickering in perfect harmony with the music. At this time, Keelan turns around in a slow manner, now facing the ring. He begins his descent down the ramp and towards the ring with Reginald following him closely behind. His lightly bearded visage is decorated by his signature demonic yet emotionless glare and every single one of his slow steps echoes methodicalness. As Keelan gets about halfway down the ramp, ring announcer Jerry Heisenberg officially introduces the devilish Canadian competitor.
Having reached the end of the ramp by the time his introduction is over, Keelan stops dead in his tracks as does his sinister father. Keelan retains his deadly glare while the ring becomes the sole focus of his attention. Void of any emotion whatsoever, Keelan takes a sharp turn to the right, in the process failing to acknowledge any of the fans that shower him with boos and jeers. Keelan continues to move forward and locates what is approximately the center of the apron and, after grabbing a tight hold of the top rope, he hops onto the apron with great ease while his father remains on the padded floor, a little further from Keelan, showering his son with applause. As “The Alpha Fiend” imperiously stands on the apron, he turns to face the fans in attendance once more, allowing the capacity crowd to admire his Greek God-like body frame──a move that sends even more boos and jeers in his direction. Keelan targets his hateful gaze towards his haters while lightly leaning against the ropes. After he finishes scanning the VoW Universe, Keelan turns his attention to the turnbuckle on his right side. He climbs onto it and, under the flickering lights, sends both of his arms to the sides while lifting his head upward and thus targeting the ceiling with his fiendish blue eyes, again much to the dismay of the crowd. Next, Keelan leaps over the turnbuckle and lands in the ring, the smack of both of his boots hitting the canvas creating a soft yet audible thud. Deciding to remain in the nearby corner, Keelan takes a squatting position while Reginald repeatedly slams his hands together for him. Keelan's entrance music gradually fades away, allowing him to wait for the match to begin.
WRESTLING STYLE
Keelan mainly combines two different styles──those being striking and submission──to create some unique offense. Staying true to his nickname of “The Killer of the Black Dawn,” Keelan's cold, merciless demeanor follows him to the ring and serves him well against opponents of all sizes. Thanks to his martial arts background, his strikes, whether those be punches or kicks, are hard-hitting and full of malice. On the other hand, Keelan is excellent at executing submissions, often displaying his skill by chaining his submissions (meaning he smoothly transitions from one submission to another) without giving his opponent a chance to reach for the rope break. Finally, due to his nature, Keelan will never hesitate abusing the referee's five counts, only letting go at the last possible second. This is especially crucial with his submissions since he's able to squeeze every last bit of energy out of his opponents.
STRENGTHS
I. UNBREAKABLE FOCUS ── Keelan loves control. He craves it. He abuses it. He will never let go of it. When Keelan stands in the corner opposite of his opponent, the first thing is his mind is how to establish control over his opponent. Once he successfully does that, his only person of interest is his prey. It is hard to hard to break his focus when he enters this state of flow ── he will never trash talk or taunt his opponents or the fans present, keeping his attention solely on the match.
II. SUBMISSION DEFENSE ── Being a skilled submission artist comes with having unrivaled defense against submissions. Keelan knows multiple possible ways of reversing just about every submission created to date. Obviously, this makes him a very formidable opponent in submission matches──his personal favorite.
III. PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE ── As mentioned before, Keelan enjoys tearing his opponents apart with mind games. Keelan has mastered the art of talking, which means he can easily manipulate people into thinking he's on their side, only to stab them in the back at exactly the right time. Not afraid of any limits, Keelan's ability to talk eloquently is also a very useful way to convey hurtful messages to his opponents, this being a method that requires some interpretive effort from the opponent.
IV. MERCILESS PRECISION ── Keelan thrives on focusing on his opponent's weak spot(s). If he isn't aware of what that might be before the bell rings, he will not give in until he finds one during the match. When he does, he will focus on that and only that. He will use it to his advantage and abuse it relentlessly until he can see the end for the unfortunate opponent.
V. REGINALD LIGHTWOOD ── Keelan's devious father acts as another pair of eyes for Keelan. Reginald will always accompany his son for his matches (unless he's been officially banned from doing so) and Keelan is rarely seen on-camera without him. Additionally, Reginald will attempt to provide frequent openings for Keelan by distracting the referee when his son is in a predicament. Such a distraction might provide a good opportunity to use the “Zantetsuken,” which Reginald always carries with him.
WEAKNESSES
I. SIZE ── This one is obvious. Keelan is a junior heavyweight and therefore lacks the strength to use power moves against opponents that are much bigger than him. It also allows the monsters of the squared circle to completely manhandle him inside and outside of the ropes.
II. THE NEED TO KILL ── There will inevitably come a time when Keelan will not be satisfied with either winning or losing his match. That's when he begins to feel the obsessive need hurt his victims──the so-called “killer instinct”──and possibly place them on the dreaded list of injured Visionaries. This trait can also go hand in hand with his vindictiveness and often reaches its peak during intense rivalries. It can cause Keelan to go overboard with his offense in the ring as well, potentially risking a disqualification. Whether inside or outside of the squared circle, when Keelan succumbs to this state of needing to “finish off” his competition, it may force the hand of an executive, potentially resulting in a fine, suspension or──worst case scenario──termination of his contract.
III. DISLOYALTY ── As noted before, Keelan doesn't trust anybody easily. This is a harmful trait because it bears the risk of significantly hindering his chances of making any allies. Rather, it might further distance him from his co-workers and possibly turn them into his enemies. Keelan frequently expresses this characteristic by making it known that he's not a team player, thus making him weak in team matches where he has to rely on others. He is not afraid to walk out on his partner(s) if he deems it best for him. It can also be said that, because of Keelan's tendency to be a difficult person to deal with, his partner is just as likely to abandon him as he is likely to abandon them.
IV. PRESSURE ── Keelan is the type of guy that puts an immense amount of pressure on himself. Not only does he want to perform at a higher level than his opponents, he also desires to best himself night after night, week after week and sometimes that can get to him. Moreover, Reginald has extremely high expectations when it comes to his son's wrestling career. Knowing this, Keelan is willing move heaven and earth to exceed those expectations, seeing it as his way of repaying his father for all his continuous love and support.
V. REGINALD LIGHTWOOD ── No matter how big of a help Reginald might be during Keelan's matches, he can also be quite the distraction. Even though Keelan's ability to focus on a match is unprecedented, he is unable to leave his father unnoticed should something happen to him. Since Keelan is extremely protective of his creator, targeting Reginald is a good way to take Keelan off of his game and thus hinder his concentration. Reginald is Keelan's number one priority and therefore will always come first if his well-being and a match victory enter a conflict. The opponent can utilize this strategy to get a cheap victory, but it won't be easy due to Keelan's protectiveness.
