From the ashes part 2
“The Hugo Strange show”
The screen is black and white and then with a shot of snow and a sound of static the picture on the screen comes to life. On the screen is an old style big band playing some kind of show tune and then the camera pans across the room and it stops on Hugo Strange, He is wearing a tuxedo with a bow tie. Hugo is drumming along with the band as the band finishes the song.
Hugo: Hello ladies and gentle men and how are you all this fine evening?
Hugo waits for an answer but there is none. Hugo looks around the room and then back at the camera and shrugs his shoulders.
Hugo: So Tonight I am pleased to say we have some amazing guest for you all tonight. We have the young superstar Mr.E and the talented Matt Rydell let’s give it up for our special guest!
Again there is silence Hugo shakes his head and points at the camera and then five seconds later there is clapping and cheering; Hugo shakes his head and looks off camera and mouths “Ronnie get this shit right.”
Hugo: So let’s get this show going; bring out our first guest Mr.E; Mr.E everybody let’s hear it him.
Silence again then a sound of a train whistle and then a loin’s roar. A large box wrapped in question marks drops from the ceiling and lands next to Hugo. Hugo looks over at the box and again shakes his head and again looks off camera and yells “You didn’t book him did you Ronnie?”
Hugo: OK, I get it Mr.E; mystery box funny let’s move on shall we. Ok since Mr. E is not here lets welcome Matt Rydell.
As soon as Hugo says Rydell a bunch of Rydell tennis balls fall from the ceiling bouncing off Hugo’s desk and him. Hugo hangs his head and is again shaking it “We didn’t get Matt Rydell either, but I get the joke; oh I get the joke; you and Treats are in rare form today.” Hugo stands up and undoes his bow tie and points at the camera “stay on me Douglas and put this s@#! Into color.” Suddenly the screen goes from black and white to color.
Hugo: OK, let’s get to business on Monday night July 14th in Duluth by god Minnesota; I am wrestling three very young and hungry wrestlers that are looking for a win as bad as me. At Breakthrough #6, I went toe to toe with the one and only Reya Serra. Sad to say I did not come out on top in that match, but I gave it my best shot and in her open letter she said she would run me off or put me on the shelf. Well Reya as you can see I am still here and I am ready to go for this match I got coming up. I will say this Reya you ever need somebody to watch our back or go to battle with you; I will be your battle buddy you have earned my undying respect good luck to you.
Hugo starts walking back and forth while looking at the camera.
Hugo: So at Breakthrough #7 I face off against two men, fine I can deal with that not the first time and not the last time. Break though #6 didn’t go how I wanted it to go, but this time I am coming to that ring like a man on a mission. I didn’t view my lost to Reya Serra as a setback, but more of a wakeup call. At WARPED I was a big shot; at WARPED I was hot s#!% and I thought coming to VoW would be no different. Well that nonsense got knocked right out of me by one Reya Serra. If you think I am walking out of Break though #7 with another loss you are mistaken. I came to VOW to be the best and wrestle the best; yeah I came up a little short but it just made me hungry to get that first win! I got two people standing in my way to my first win; one is a rookie, and the other one has a little bit more experience than me. When I look at this match I see future legends and future hall of famers and that gets my blood pumping.
Hugo stops pacing and walks to the camera.
Hugo: First off I will start with Mr. E the youngest of my opponents on Monday night. Yeah we got a lot of stuff in common, but we also got some stuff that makes us different. Yeah we are both tough and you might be the better athlete than me, but how tough are you really. You can be the greatest athlete in the world Mr.E, but if you don’t know anything about ring psychology, well you might as well be a kid with downs syndrome trying to compete in the Olympics. I am sure you are tough and it looks like you got some training, but you don’t know all the tricks and secrets to that ring like I do. Mr.E I question your motives to becoming a professional wrestler. Your shady past and background all the problems you are having outside the ring, that is something a person that knows what they are doing inside that ring could use against you. Mr. E I am going to give you credit you are one hell of a athlete, but at the end of the night it is going to take more than a great set of abs to win this match, but it will take brains and ring savvy to win. How many three ways have you been in Mr. E, I have been in a few and I am sure Matt Rydell has been in a couple too. So Mr. E on July 14th in Duluth at breakthrough I get to play Sherlock and I am going to solve this mystery.
Hugo goes back to his desk and sits in the chair and puts his feet up on it and yells for a beer. Beer flies in to view from someplace off screen Hugo catches it and opens it one motion and takes a big drink.
Hugo: All that is left is you Matt Rydell, you have quite the history and you are quite the talent in that ring; it is just sad that your ego is going to cost you this match. Yeah I get you are a loner and all you want out of this career is glory, but you have already committed the biggest sin you could ever commit in this business and that is you over looked your opponents. Matt you have more experience than both me and Mr.E and you already have done something a rookie would do. To be honest Mr.E athletic prowess scares me that man is a freak and you can’t train that either; no that is god given talent right there. Then there is me a former world champion and a probably one of the hardest hitters in the world of professional wrestling, and you just over looked us.
Hugo takes a drink of his beer and shakes his head.
Hugo: Now I am not overlooking you; you my friend and I use that term loosely with you; hands down you are the most deadly person in this match. You have that killer instinct when you are on your game. Plus you got a lot of fight in you and by looking at the size you give up in this match, you are going to bring every ounce of fight you have you. To be honest with you I am going to take great pride in winning this match and showing you why you should never over look your opponents.
Hugo takes the last drink of his beer and crushes the can and throws it to the side.
Hugo: The both of you don’t understand what this matches means to me. You both don’t understand what I am willing to do to win this match. I will bleed and I will make you bleed; I am willing to make small children cry and old ladies faint. I am willing to go to limits people are afraid to go to. I have battled legends and hall of famers and not once have I backed down. You wanna drop me on my head Matt Rydell all you have to do is step up and try. Mr.E you want to lead that superman punch on my chin again step and try, because you better believe I am going try my damnedest to drop the both of you on your head in that ring. So July 14th in the beautiful city of Duluth Minnesota VoW brings you Breakthrough #7 and it will be a STRANGE time!!!!!
Just as Hugo say Strange a mime comes out pulling himself across the stage with an invisible rope. Hugo looks off camera “really” he says. The mime stops and waves at him and keeps pulling himself across the stage. Hugo stands up and folds up his chair and walks up behind the mime. Hugo knocks on an invisible door the mime stops and turns and opens the door and waves. Hugo cracks the mime over his head and drops him. Hugo quickly turns around and points off camera “Don’t give me that Clown abuse shit you and I both know mimes fall between hookers and strippers on the ladder of human scum and they are just barely above waitress; plus Treats you hate mimes!”
