My first victory here as a member of the VoW roster, and it truly feels good, especially after I came so close to victory on my debut yet unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get it. I’m sitting here in my locker room, my duffel bag is resting on the wooden bench beside me, already packed and waiting for me to pick it up before I make my way back to my hotel room here in Duluth, Minnesota. Dressed in a pair of black Doc Martin boots, a pair of light blue stonewashed denim jeans, a black Guns N’ Roses T-shirt and a black leather jacket, I stare at my clenched right fist thinking about my victory earlier this evening when my attention is suddenly diverted by a knock at my locker room door. I get to my feet and walk over to the door before grabbing the door handle and opening it to find VoW interviewer, Darius Yates, standing there dressed in a pair of black polished leather shoes, a white suit, a black shirt and a white tie.
Mr E
What do you want Mr Yates...
No doubt he’ll want an interview, the one thing about this business I wish didn’t exist, I hate interacting with people, I’m not a people person, the only time I enjoy interacting with people is when I’m beating the Hell out of them in a match.
Darius
I was wondering if I could get a quick interview with you, it won’t take long...
I hope somebody is there to pick up the phone because I fucking called it! I guess a short interview won’t do me any harm.
Mr E
Yeah sure...
I walk back over to the bench and sit back down as Darius walks in and closes the door behind him before taking a seat beside me.
Darius
Well first of all, congratulations on your first victory here in VoW that saw you defeat Hugo Strange and Matt Rydell in one Hell of a Triple Threat encounter, your thoughts?
Mr E
Well as you can imagine, it felt good...I mean...this match was a must win for all three of us. Both Mr Strange and I had unsuccessful debuts last week and Mr Rydell was returning to action after a hiatus so there was a lot riding on this match for all three of us. Unfortunately for Mr Strange and Mr Rydell though...it was me...Mr E...who walked out with the victory.
Darius
Well moments before the match took place, I was in the middle of interviewing one of your three opponents from your debut match, Rayne Draven-Omega and we were interrupted by Matt Rydell who proceeded to berate Rayne before you came onto the scene and pretty much told Rydell to leave Rayne alone and focus on the match, what was that all about?
Mr E
What can I say, I didn’t like the way Mr Rydell was talking about Mr and Mrs Omega, hence why I said what I said. Mr Omega is the reason why I have a job here in VoW and Mrs Draven-Omega is one of the most talented female wrestlers in this industry...
Darius
It seemed as if Rayne wasn’t entirely happy with you defending her, she did thank you for it however stated that she can take care of herself, how do you feel about that?
Mr E
I understand where she’s coming from, she doesn’t want it to look like she needs a man to look after her in this business and it’s understandable. A lot of men out there believe that this is a job that women cannot do, which is a load of bull shit considering there are some women out there who can do this job better than some of the men can. I wanted to tell Mr Rydell to back off, it wasn’t any of my business yes, but Mr Rydell had no business being there either, it was meant to be an interview with Mrs Draven-Omega but Mr Rydell couldn’t accept that he wasn’t the one being talked about because he’s a spoiled piece of crap.
Darius
Well we’re about to wrap things up here Mr E, but before we do, before I arrived here to do this interview, I found out that you have been booked against Rayne’s very close friend, Reya Serra, in a tournament match to crown the first ever VoW Xcel Champion. How do you feel about getting this kind of opportunity so early on in your career?
Mr E
I guess I must be impressing the suits at the top if I’ve been booked in a tournament match to crown the first ever VoW Xcel Champion. It’s going to be tough, that’s for sure...I may not know much about Ms Serra at this moment in time but I’d imagine that she’s one Hell of a wrestler and I’ll be sure to do my research on her to help me for my upcoming match against her. It’ll be one Hell of a challenge, but I love a good challenge, and unfortunately for Ms. Serra...her dreams of becoming the first ever VoW Xcel Champion will come to an end when I defeat her at Breakthrough.
I then get to my feet and grab my duffel bag before slinging it over my shoulder and leaving my locker room and Darius.

I make my way towards the large wooden oak confessional box and enter the door on the right. Dressed in my usual attire of a pair of black Doc Martin boots, a pair of dark blue denim jeans, a plain black T-shirt and a black leather jacket, I take a seat and wait until I hear the priest enter the other side of the confessional box.
Mr E
Forgive me Father for I have sinned...
Priest
How long since your last confession my son...
Mr E
This is my first confession Father...
Priest
Well confess your sins my son and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ shall forgive you...
Mr E
I haven’t exactly been the greatest human being in the world Father, I have done many things I am not proud of and I have been sent to prison for committing crimes that I am not proud of. I thought that carrying out my full prison sentence would make me feel as if justice had been served to the people that I had wronged, yet I still feel the guilt...
Priest
My son, if you acknowledge what you have done in your past was wrong as you have done already, and you seek to rectify what you have done by being a better person and living your life the way God intended, then the Lord Jesus Christ will forgive you and cleanse your soul of your sins...
I pause for a moment, allowing his words sink into my brain.
Mr E
Father, what does the Bible say about revenge?
I hear the priest clear his throat a little.
Priest
Romans, Chapter 12, Verses 17 to 19 state, “Return evil for evil to no one. Provide fine things in the sight of all men. If possible, as far as it depends upon you, be peaceable with all men. Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place to the wrath; for it is written: ‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says Jehovah.”
The priest pauses for a few moments.
Priest
My son, you must let God determine when and upon whom vengeance is to be brought, for he can do so with full knowledge of the facts, and any retribution originating with him will reflect his perfect justice.
Mr E
Thank you Father...
Priest
Thank the Lord Jesus Christ, go in peace my son to love and serve the Lord, through Jesus Christ’s name...
I get to my feet and leave the confessional box and make my way towards the entrance to the church. As I leave and make my way down the cobblestone steps, I notice VoW commentator, Ruby Parvati, looking at me from a distance dressed in a big thick red long coat and a large pair of sunglasses. The moment I look at her, she quickly turns around and begins to walk away, I smirk a little before I begin jogging towards her and when I’m inches away from her I resume a normal pace.
Mr E
You know Ruby, I’ve had enough experience of being followed to know when I’m being followed...
She stops and turns around to face me suddenly.
Ruby
Me? Following you? I don’t know what you’re talking about...
I chuckle a little as we both begin walking down the street side by side.
Mr E
Sure...whatever you say Ruby...I’ve heard what you’ve been saying about me during my matches...
I notice her cheeks turning red and this causes me to smirk.
Ruby
So...you say you’ve had experience of being followed...I’d imagine you get a lot of women following you...
She stops me and begins stroking her finger across my chest and stomach.
Ruby
A strong, tall, dark handsome man such as yourself, I’d be surprised if you weren’t constantly being hounded by women...
I have to say, it’s nice having a woman as attractive as Ruby hitting on me, but I’m not here for any kind of sexual relations. More to the point, given her reputation, I’d probably catch something if I had sex with this woman. I brush past her and continue walking, ignoring her advances on me which she doesn’t seem too happy about but she continues walking with me anyway.
Ruby
I have to be honest Mr E, even though you are very mysterious, I didn’t think of you as being a religious man...
Mr E
I’m not...well...I’m not sure what I believe in to be brutally honest with you. I’d like to think there is a God up there but I’m just not sure whether I believe there is or not. Regardless though, I felt like I needed to confess my sins for the bad things I’ve done in my life...
Ruby
You know, your opponent this week is religious, very religious as a matter of fact...
Mr E
Yeah I know, I’ve been doing my research on her recently to help me prepare for my match against her...
Ruby
That's good...
She then stops in her tracks and so do I as she looks up to me and smiles.
Ruby
Well I better get going...good luck on Tuesday...
Mr E
Thanks Ruby, I’ll see you later...
Ruby and I then part ways and I continue making my way back to where I parked my Harley.

I’m busy walking along the beach of the Lake Superior dressed in a pair of black Doc Martin boots, a pair of light blue stonewashed denim jeans, a black Slipknot T-shirt, a black leather jacket and a pair of black shades as I think about my huge upcoming match.
Mr E
So this upcoming Tuesday at Breakthrough, I’m facing Reya Serra in a match where the winner will advance in the tournament to crown the first ever VoW Xcel Champion. Now, Ms Serra, I have to say, you are one Hell of a woman. The things you have gone through throughout your life, avoiding being run over after your friend pushed you out of the way and took the hit herself, being hit by a car, your parents being killed in a plane crash, suffering a relationship break-up, being forced to crucify a priest and witnessing your friend suffer a brutal beating whilst being powerless to stop it...suffering all of those tragedies and yet here you are...still fighting, still living your dream, and why? Because you found faith...you found faith and you now follow and worship the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I continue walking along the beach, listening to the rippling water of the Lake Superior as I take a long deep breath.
Mr E
That alone, makes you one Hell of a woman, and I commend you for continuing on with your life when many others would just be sitting at home, doing nothing with their lives, believing that there is no hope for them in this world any more. And then there’s your wrestling accomplishments added onto all that...a two-time CWX Ladies Champion, a two-time NEW Youngblood Champion, a two-time ACW International Champion just to name a few. You are truly, a very accomplished wrestler and I understand that, and I understand that not only is this match the biggest match of my VoW career to date, but it’s going to be the toughest match of my VoW career to date.
I stop in my tracks, looking down at the light brown coloured sand resting below my feet as I bend down and pick up a small smooth disc shaped pebble. I then stand back up straight and throw the pebble into the Lake Superior and watch it skim across the top of the water four times before it’s engulfed in a watery grave.
Mr E
I’ll be honest Ms Serra, I am not a religious man, in all honesty, I’m not sure what I believe in. Is there a divine deity up there who is responsible for creating the world we live in? Who knows...it’s one of those questions that will only ever be truly answered for us when I die. Would I like to believe that there is a God up there who is responsible for our existence on this Earth? Yes I would like to believe that to be true...there are just too many things that in my opinion disprove the existence of a God. With that said however, I do not wish to offend you or anyone else who does believe in God, I’m not someone who has an issue with the beliefs of others. The way I see it is that if there is such thing as a God, if God is all powerful and all knowing like the Bible says, then I truly believe that God wouldn’t care what people choose to believe or not to believe, I believe God wouldn’t care what sexuality people are, whether it be straight, gay, lesbian or bi-sexual, I believe God wouldn’t care whether you were black, white, Asian, Mexican or whatever and I certainly believe God wouldn’t care whether you were Christian, Protestant, Muslim, Jewish or anything like that. At the end of the day, every man, woman and child on this Earth is human and we all bleed the same colour, so who gives a fuck what your beliefs are, what your race is or what your sexual orientation is...
I once again begin to walk further along the beach.
Mr E
Like you, I have suffered tragedies in my lifetime...but where you turned to God to help you get through the pain and suffering of what you’ve had to endure...I turned to wrestling and that is what helps me get through the pain and suffering of what I’ve had to endure. Where you turn to God and spread the love and peace that your God wants you to spread...I turn to causing people their own pain and suffering by beating them mercilessly in the middle of the ring.
I once again stop and raise my right hand up to my eye line, I close my eyes and breath deeply in and out through my nose as I slowly clench my fist into a ball before re-opening my eyes and staring at it.
Mr E
Tell me something Ms Serra, do you like riddles? Because I have one especially for you and it goes something like this. What is greater than God, More evil than the Devil, the poor have it, the rich don't need it, and if you eat it, you'll die?
I pause for a second, still staring at my clenched fist before slowly turning my attention back to the camera and smirking.
Mr E
Did you get it? The answer is nothing. Nothing is greater than God, nothing is more evil than the Devil, the poor have nothing, the rich need nothing, and if you eat nothing, you’ll die. Just like nothing is going to stop me from walking out of the DECC Arena in Duluth, Minnesota on July 22nd 2014 with that all important victory that shall see me advance into the next round of the tournament to crown VoW’s first ever Xcel Champion, and nothing is going to stop me from becoming VoW’s first ever Xcel Champion either. No amount of praying to your God will change the inevitable outcome that is in your future Ms Serra, and as I’ve already alluded too earlier, I like you because you have the heart of a lioness and the aggression of one in the ring too, this is all just business and nothing personal. I’ll be seeing you on Tuesday at Breakthrough, and good luck, because you’re going to need it...
I then place both my hands into my jacket pockets and disappear off camera view chuckling away.
