PERSONALITY
Mr. Selfie is an energetic, fun and friendly character that lives life to the fullest. YOLO (You only live once) is his motto. Ziu is kind and helpful to those who are nice to him, but can be vicious and spiteful to those that cross him.
He’s a bit of an all rounder. A genuinely decent guy but has regular mood swings so can be ok one minute and not the next. It’s nothing major but his mood swings are noticeable. He can switch easily. A possible bipolar disorder but that has not been proven.
Can often come across as cocky and arrogant but he can also take a step back out of the spotlight and relax in the background. Loves entertaining the fans and also entertaining himself. If he pulls off a decent selfie he’s over the moon.
He is also a fans favourite despite being vain and self-absorbed majority of the time.
Focused, ambitious and determined to be the best.
Although Ziu has the whole 'selfie' gimmick going on, he also has a dark side behind the scenes and is more serious when he's not in the public eye. He does show this on camera occasionally.
CURRENT ACCOLADE(S)

(Resulted in a Title shot at the Darkest Hour PPV against the Zero Gravity Champion Shane Sparx. The original prize was to be apart of the first ever Zero Gravity Championship match at Armed and Dangerous but Ziu was injured so couldn't take part.)

ENTRANCE THEME
“Selfie Song” by Mippey5
ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION
The arena descends into darkness and the sound of a picture being taken on a camera echoes throughout the arena. A quick flash lights up the titantron like a jolt of electricity before immediately disappearing again. Ziu’s smiling face in a still photo appears on the screen as the “Selfie song” by Mippey5 begins to play over the PA system.
“I’m bored, so I’ma take a selfie
I’m obsessed; it’s unhealthy
Click, share. I don’t care that I’m a man
I’ma take another pic and I’ma post to instagram.”
Various selfies that Ziu has taken throughout his wrestling career begin to flash up on the screen, one by one. Ziu sprints out on to the stage and throws both hands in the air at the top of the ramp. Wearing his usual sea blue attire and a “MR SELFIE” t shirt, he looks side to side and takes in the atmosphere.
The crowd are on their feet, especially the younger fans that love Mr. Selfie. The electricity in the building gives Ziu even more adrenaline and he decides to jog to both sides of the stage to throw both hands in the air again.
The Centipede then makes his way down the ramp, pausing to take ‘selfies’ with his fans with the polaroid camera that always accompanies him to the ring. He hands over the printed pictures to his admiring fans as soon as the picture is taken. The arena cameras search the crowd for fans posing for the viewers at home. Wacky faces are made, cheeky tongues are out and poses that could make front page magazines are all on show when Ziu is around.
Finally, Ziu arrives at the bottom of the ramp and races through the bottom rope to enter the ring. With energy pumping through his veins, Ziu places the polaroid camera in one of the corners of the ring and jogs around, bouncing off the ropes to get ready for the match ahead.
WRESTLING STYLE
High Flyer (mainly)
If you took the wrestling style of Jeff Hardy, The Rock & Chris Jericho you would get Ziu Zhong
STRENGTHS
Energy: Always full of energy. Still has energy remaining after the match has ended. One of the fittest athletes around today.
Catch me if you can: His speed is very quick and consistent. Fast out the blocks and fast throughout the entire match. Nicknamed ‘The Centipede’ because he performs as if he has more than 2 legs. Certainly too quick for his opponents.
Airborne: Good in the air. Loves being airborne and performing acrobatic manoeuvres.
WEAKNESSES
A Sub-Mission: Ziu dislikes submissions. He rarely performs them and if he is in a submission hold he will find it hard to get out. He doesn’t like being restricted and the longer the hold goes on the more agitated he will get and this will eventually (sooner rather than later) end in failure.
*Ziu worked on this weakness at the start of 2015 with fellow VOW Wrestler Patrick Jones, but it is still one of Ziu's weaknesses, just not as weak as before. Ziu will continue to work on this weakness to get it removed from the list*
Lack of Experience: Only 1 year experience in a low-key company before he joined VOW.
Selfies: Taking selfies with his fans on the way to the ring is sometimes not enough for Ziu and he may find himself taking some during the match if his opponent is down. Ziu interacts with the fans or will taunt his opponent who is down. This gives his opponent time to recover but Ziu can’t help himself. With a camera in his hand he is too laid back for his own good.

SIGNATURE MOVE(S)
The Selfie Slammer: Ziu poses in front of his dazed or fallen victim and takes a ‘selfie’ with the polaroid camera he brings to the ring. The picture will print out immediately and Ziu will spit on the back of the picture and stick it to his opponents’ forehead before performing a powerbomb. Ziu can get all this done within 5-7 seconds.
Back to the future (aka Slap-fest): Ziu will backhand slap his opponent on the chest 4 times before a backhand across the face to finish off with. The crowd love this one (they count the slaps out loud).
The Chase Is On: Ankle Lock (Created especially by Patrick Jones for Ziu to use on Chase Michaels. This was during the period Patrick helped train Ziu, namely on his technical weakness.)

BIOGRAPHY
Ziu doesn’t have much of a wrestling career so far so this will be mainly about his life growing up.
Born in Beijing, China, Ziu was brought into the world by loving parents. He wasn’t spoilt but they made sure he was well looked after. As long as Ziu was happy, they were happy. Growing up in such a highly populated city had its good and bad points, but overall it was a decent childhood for Ziu.
Aged 6 he met Ling, a woman that would eventually become his wife. They were the best of friends between the ages of 6-11 until Ziu’s parents died in a car crash and he moved to live with his uncle (Father’s brother) in London, England. He lost contact with Ling and grew up in England with English eventually becoming his first language. His uncle was a successful accountant in the centre of London and Ziu loved living with him.
Aged 18 Ziu was invited to his old friends 18th birthday party over in Beijing, China where he bumped into Ling again after 7 years with no contact. They got close again but this time it was a mutual feeling that was stronger than just friends, and 3 months later Ling moved to England to live with Ziu. They were there for a few years, in Ziu’s own apartment that he had got when he turned 18, and it was there in England that Ziu begun his wrestling training. They eventually got married and then moved to America where they currently reside today.
A week before his parents death, Ziu was given a Polaroid camera for his 11th birthday present. He felt like it was an omen and eventually became obsessed with selfies and that explains why he is now known as Mr. Selfie.
His wrestling career consists of 1 year in XWA where he was a 2 time XWA World Heavyweight champion. He also won awards for 2013 best newcomer and 2013 wrestler of the year. Ziu has arrived in VOW to further his career and hopefully prove he has what it takes to compete with the best in the game.
Since arriving in VOW Ziu has had a successful run, defeating many experienced wrestlers and participating in the main event many times. He also became the No 1 Contender for the Zero Gravity Championship after winning the Quest for the Case briefcase match in his second match. He went on to become the Zero Gravity Champion on December 1st 2014 at Darkest Hour.
Between November 10th 2014 and 16th March 2015 Ziu Zhong went on an undefeated streak, defeating some of the best wrestlers on the roster. That defeat was through participating in a triple threat match. As at April 19th 2015 Ziu Zhong remains unbeaten in singles competition since November 10th 2014, a period spanning over 5 months.
The future's bright...the future's Ziu.
