WRESTLING BACKGROUND
Frei attended Wrestling school in Canada at the age of seventeen. He made his professional debut in August of 1987, a mere two years later. From there, he quickly gained the reputation of being a no nonsense type of competitor that specialized in bone crunching submission holds. As time went on, Frei continued to journey throughout North America. Competing in many different promotions. Some on the same level as the indy circuit while others were national powerhouses. Despite holding World Titles on three occasions, his stellar career was cut short, thanks to a herniated disc in his lower back. It was shortly after this, that Stefan decided it best to take a leave from Professional Wrestling to concentrate on his upcoming back surgery, as well as the recovery that would surely follow. Even though he took all the necessary precautions, he never was quite the same in the ring again. This would ultimately lead to him retiring from action. But during his tenure between the ropes, Stefan had become an established combatant, who was widely respected by his fellow workers. It's also how he came to be known as "Mister Wrestling". An alias that has carried over into Visionaries of Wrestling; The Company he, along with the help of several others, had just opened.
