Beware of the wolves in sheep's clothing for they seek to devour.
That's what it has been like for the past few weeks for Valerie Beasley. After her tough loss to .PAAK two breakthroughs ago, Valerie has been contemplating whether or not this challenge was worth the risk to her own health. As the scene opens a little more, we can see Valerie sitting on a wooden bench with both fists wrapped heavily in tape while bowing her head. Her eyes are nearly closed do to the overwhelming sweat that is pouring from her forehead. She must have finished another brutal workout with her agent Todd before the cameras showed up to get a few words from her.
The Cameraman: We are sorry to disrupt your time of rest but we have some questions for you about Fate of the Gods.
When the man holding the camera mentioned Fate of the Gods, Valerie clenched both of her fists before letting out a snarl.
Valerie Beasley: What is it you want to know?
The question rolled off Valerie's tongue with a sharpness that felt like a twin edge sword preparing to leave its sheath. The cameraman let out a gulp while hoping this wasn't going to be a problem.
The Cameraman: How are you feeling about your second chance to outshine .PAAK?
Valerie Beasley: After our first encounter, I took the time to rewatch that match. I wanted too see if her level of greatness was proven. After viewing twenty minutes of footage, I have come to the conclusion that Raimden's precious little Levithian isn't the all powerful creature he claims her to be. If you watch very carefully you can see how difficult it was just to predict my movements in the ring. I locked her into two submission holds and nearly took her head off with my spinning backfist. If PAAK was supposed to dominate me then why couldn't she pull the trigger. Why couldn't she end the match at the five minute mark?
A brief moment of silence befalls the room as the cameraman is trying to rack his brain for the answer to the question that Valerie just posed.
Valerie Beasley: While you are pondering for an answer let me key you on a little secret PAAK, I know that this sport is a dog eat dog world but there does come a time when you need someone to lift your spirits up. You spew viles of venom of that mouth but you expect me to extend an olive branch towards you. I don't know what kind of world you are living in or how many lies that mouth piece of yours has whispered into your puny ears. But when you decided to pick me as your precious little stepping stone in this company you forgot about one thing. This stepping stone fights back. You are right, I am nothing like Kincaid. I am not Datura. I am Valerie Beasley. The woman who has worked her entire life to make people like you think twice about running your mouth. You said this is survival of the fittest. Don't you think I know that Einstein. I am one of the few women in this entire world who competes in both MMA and professional wrestling. Do you really think it is easy? I train twice as hard as most of my male counterparts not because I want to do it. It's because I have to do it. So don't go preaching to me about survival of the fittest.
Valerie finally lifts her head up as her eyes narrow at the sight of the camera lens. Her lips have formed a crooked grin on her face as her blonde hair is tossed back into a tight ponytail. Her nostrils are slowly flaring as the cameraman decides not to say another word.
Valerie Beasley: This match isn't going to be a match at Fate of the gods. It's going to be a fight. Our last encounter proved that I can be a dominant force this company has ever seen but it must come from within. No one is going to hand me anything unlike you PAAK. I wasn't handed victories. The victories that I have gained, I earned with hard work and dedication to my craft. That is something your mouthpiece doesn't quite understand. He just stands there shouting words like he is some kind of megaphone but doesn't do anything to back them up. Our last battle, PAAK was anything but the dominant force. She was overconfident and found herself scraping at the bottom of her barrel just looking for that magic eight ball to give her something to use. That night she was the luckiest person on the planet. I highly doubt her luck will help her this time around. Because I have the support of the fans. I have support of those in the back and when it's all said and done. I will be the one who these people remember for years to come.
That crooked smile turns into a confident grin as Valerie holds up both off her fists towards the camera.
Valerie Beasley: Kelsey Spencer once tried to pull the same stunt as you PAAK and do you know what happened to her. She got a rude awakening. Yes she won the match but she remembers the brutality that I showed in our encounter. She remembers just how devastating I can be when I am firing on all cyclinders. You just got a glimpse of what I can do in our last encounter but trust me when I tell you this. You ain't seen nothing yet. I plan on unleashing a new side of me that no one has seen thus far in my VoW career. So PAAK I hope you are drinking your tea and eating your sushi. Because come Fate of the Gods, you will come face to face with the one woman who can send you back to the underworld.
Valerie takes one glance down at her right fist then over towards her left before looking back up.
Valerie Beasley: PAAK, I said it the last time we fought and I will say it again. You are not a monster. You are just a spoiled little bitch. Do you know what happens to bitches who cross my path? I destroy them and I will do that to you. Say your prayers because it's the only chance you got anyway. One more thing for you to consider, BEWARE THE FIST.
Valerie lets out a laugh while throwing her fist towards the camera.
