Ladies and Gentlemen, Handlers of all ages. VoW would like to announce its inaugural Third Eye Open. "What is the Third Eye Open?" You may ask. The Third Eye Open is a trios tournament spanning the pay per view arc for Darkest Hour later this year. It will consist of 8 randomized teams of volunteers who want to try their hand in a Trios tourney. This pay per view arc will take place in South Korea and Japan, so why not take advantage of trios action? Week 1 will have two Round 1 matches. Week 2 will have two more Round 1 matches. Week 3 will have two Round 2/Semifinal matches and the Finals will be hosted at Darkest Hour.
So besides claiming to be part of the Third Eye Open Cup holders, is there anything else at stake? Hell yeah! The winning team will find each member getting a title shot of their choosing excluding World Visionary. This opens up options for challenging the Xcel Champion, I4NI Champion, ZG (as long as eligible), or even the Twin Cities if you have a tag partner avaliable.
Who gets to sign up? Currently 20 spots are open for fed members as we are going to scout and hold 4 spots to offer to outsiders. If we cannot fill the 4, we will put them up for grabs to the roster. If we cannot fill up the 20, we will move some over for outsiders.
Teams? All teams will be randomly assigned. Thats what will make this interesting. You may team up with an ally, a rival, or someone you may never have worked with yet. Any outsiders in this tourney will not be put on an "outsider" team as they will be drawn from the same pool as you guys as well.
Remember if you sign up to explicitly mention which character you would like to join as we are enforcing one character per handler in this tourney. We are quite a ways out but this will be approaching soon. And we want to give you guys ample time to consider and show interest in what we hope to be an annual event for Darkest Hour.
It would be beneficial to get with your partners after teams are assigned to create stories and generate interest, whether there is a unity or a tension driven angle within your trio. The more story you create, the better the odds of taking the cup. It is working with your partners that will create relevance in your rps.
