The following are the fair and easy-to-follow rules here in Visionaries of Wrestling:
We love everyone, and believe you're all wonderful in your own unique ways. Which is why we in VOW do not and will not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, or belief systems. You are who you are, and we don't want to change that. Thus, we would like it if our members would also follow the rule of not being prejudiced against their fellow Visionaries.
Secondly, communication is something we in VOW take very seriously. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact any of the staff (Sky, Slater, or Owen). We will do our best to help in any way possible, and will never shut you down. If one of us doesn't have an answer for you, we'll direct you to one of the staff members who does. We would appreciate if you would come to one of us before bringing your concerns onto the public forums or chats. We would also appreciate if you would contact us in some way, shape or form if you cannot roleplay a certain week.
VOW follows the three strikes and you're out policy. This goes for both no-showing, as well as violations of the rules. If you no-show twice, we will not book you until you get in contact with one of the staff members. However, if you prove to be inactive on the boards (not logging in) for two weeks or more, without any word via the site, Skype or otherwise... we will bump you to our inactive roster until further notice.
We are a ONE roleplay fed. Uno. This many... *holds up single finger*. This includes all championship matches as well. If you and your opponent BOTH agree to it, you may do more as long as you contact us ahead of time. Tag Team Matches require ONE RP from each person on a team. OR, if you have a team of your own - two characters each, which is perfectly acceptable - you will need to post an RP with EACH of those characters, making it TWO overall.
Speaking of roleplays, you know what grinds our gears? When someone uses another person's character in their roleplay, or segment, without their permission. We would appreciate it if you would ask them ahead of time, so no confusion or arguments pop up. So, to reiterate, do NOT use someone's character without consent. This also includes Staff Characters and NPC's. Ask the people who handle them for permission before using them. This is VERY important. If you disobey this rule, you will be given a warning.
We have a bit of a strange schedule, so bear with me here... basically, we are on a biweekly event schedule. However, we give our members around NINE days to roleplay and our staff/match writers around FIVE days to finish their part of results (as we have a very small staff with kids, jobs or other responsibilities that, rightfully, come first). This can vary, but we will always give our members over a week (7 days) to roleplay.
Deadline is 11:59:59 pm CST (midnight, technically), on Sunday nights (on the date noted on the card--so make sure to eyeball that, or the deadline clock on our boards). We also DO NOT have a point cutoff. The deadline is the deadline. If your rp is posted after the deadline, it won't be counted. If it's posted a few days BEFORE the deadline, you will not get anything special... except a pat on the back. And possibly a lollipop.

VOW's shows are now held (in-character) on Friday evenings (the Friday following the Sunday deadline), and thus we would like all segments (or matches, if you signed up for one) to be handed in to Owen Gonsalves, Ryan Omega, and Matt Slater by then. Results should be up by that Friday or Saturday (if there is a delay for a specific reason), with the card following soon after. If the above is still a bit confusing, or you just need a reminder of sorts, just follow the deadline clock and our occasional reminders in the shoutbox on the home page.
There will be no advertisement of other federations, nor poaching. If you would like to affiliate with VOW, feel free to contact one of the staff members.
We joke around and give each other shit (all in good fun), but don't be an asshole. We don't have the patience or tolerance for drama. If there is an issue, with either another member of the fed or with anything else, either take it to private messages or contact a staff member.
You will never be forced into a storyline. If you want to work with someone, feel free to hit them up and come up with whatever you'd like. Your fun and enjoyment is most important, and thus we will not tread on such. That said, you must still consult with the person(s) who you would like to SL with/use (including staff members--minus interviewers). You should also come to us if you're interested in a storyline involving a championship or the fed as a whole.
There will be no 'championship advantage'. If you are the champ, you won it by using your skill and talent as a roleplayer, not by being given a slight faux advantage. Also, champions get rematches at the staff's discretion. This means, one must prove that they are deserving of such by making sure their character is actually being portrayed as the champ. Do segments! Mention it once or twice in your roleplays! If it looks like the championship is important to you and your character, you will be rewarded for such.
Our staff is divided up into three parts; V, Matt and Owen, with Ryan being a part-time aid and advisor. All are equally important links to what we believe to be a fair, consecutive effort in keeping VOW as fun as possible. The main three staff members will vote on many decisions regarding the fed, will ALL read and judge each individual match as a group (unless involved in such of course), and at least one of them will be on/available one or more times during the day. We may also occasionally go to the roster with certain topics and hold a vote.
Last but most importantly... have fun! This is a GAME! Roleplaying is supposed to be an escape, and we at VOW understand this. The rules above are in place so that there's order in the fed. But we truly have a pretty relaxed atmosphere here. If something involving the fed is bothering you or stressing you out, please contact one of the staff! If there's something more personal stressing you out, and you need to vent, that's also fine (there's a thread for that)! Remember, it is our 'VOW' to you... that we will create a positive, uplifting atmosphere where you will be able to roleplay creatively and competitively, while only being expected to be YOU.
Keep on keeping on, kids, and welcome to our (and soon to be your) Vision.
